Is Egan referring to House, I wonder? They are about to shoot episode 23 and somehow I doubt they would rewrite the finale with the tight schedule. Besides, it's unlikely she'd get to write the finale on her own, specially having written Birthmarks and The Social Contract already.

m_supercomputer- 03-18-2009

It seems likely she's talking about House - maybe she's co-writing it? The weird staggered schedule of shooting episodes has led to a lot of co-writing and some writers getting more than 2 contributions this season - Peter Blake's 3rd episode of the year (all written just by him, I believe) aired last night, and we know Liz Friedman'll have a third credit in episode 22. I'd like it, if she is - not just because I'm a Wilson fan, although that's a big reason ;), but because I also like how she writes Chase and Cuddy, who seem likely to play key roles in whatever goes on from the various vague spoilers going around.

Housewhore4- 03-18-2009

I'm pretty sure she's talking about House since Sara Hess was talking about being on the lot too, and how she fled, and left Doris behind, haha. Hope they're not rushing this ending, hate to think an episode was hurried through.

LightMyCandle- 03-18-2009

Oh, I really hope Doris has contributed something to the finale. Her obvious love for Wilson and the House/Wilson relationship aside, I think she really pulls episodes together. I've noticed that even nonWilson fans tend to enjoy her episodes. They have a good blend with comedy and drama, and to me they really feel like they have a purpose and don't just go in circles for 42 minutes as many episodes have this season, especially since most of the episodes this year have essentially been the same thing week in and week out.

DOB1234- 03-18-2009

I think Sarah said they were all getting the afternoon off because the POTUS was in LA to do his town meeting. They had to get off the lot or get stuck there. I'm not quite sure why that would be so because I think he was not in downtown LA. Apparently Doris didn't get out in time and was stuck in the office. I think her comment on rewriting a whole script was a joke. No doubt some Tweeter will correct this if it's wrong. :?

I think her comment on rewriting a whole script was a joke. No doubt some Tweeter will correct this if it's wrong That possibility has crossed my mind as well, so I won't read into it.

especially since most of the episodes this year have essentially been the same thing week in and week out. Really? I have to disagree with this. If they are shooting the final episode, which I think they must be, one wonders why they need to rewrite the script again? Doesn't it take a long time to write one of these puppies? Doris is a solid writer and I am happy as long as I get me some Huddy love in the episode.

Manu- 03-18-2009

If they are shooting the final episode, which I think they must be They were still shooting ep 22 on Monday. I've been told shooting wraps in April.

sdemar- 03-18-2009

idonmatrix- 03-18-2009

Yes, yes. Please let it be St. Doris as writer, or co-writer. I'm a Wilson lover and even if it's just a little bit of Wilson and H/W, it will be worth watching. For me, Birthmarks and TSC are the best of the season. One more DE authored or co-authored episode would be a gift from heaven.

Manu- 03-19-2009

Didn't they shoot 21 a few weeks ago? 2 weeks ago, I believe. As a matter of fact, shooting for episode 23 was supposed to kick in this Monday, but they were still working on 22 - at least in the morning they were. Haven't been updated yet on the schedule so far.

It's so nice to be "in the know" on filming, so I'm grateful for your knowledge, just never knew where it came from.

Manu- 03-19-2009

Hey Manu, forgive me for being uninformed, but I was just curious how you get the inside scoop on all this? I happen to know someone who wanders around the set every now and then. Can't say anymore than that because I've been told even extras are being given confidentiality agreements lately, so they definitely want to make sure there is no leak whatsoever.

Tell your friend we appreciate the info and the possible breach in contracts :P :D

Haven't been updated yet on the schedule so far. Thanks for sharing! I suddenly find it a little odd that our dear Ausiello already told us the title for episode 22 even if they're still working on it and we still don't know the title for 5x21. And could it be possible that 5x19 will be postponed because they seem to be a little behind the schedule? With all the recent stuff going on and Doris Egan's twitter about rewriting an epi in three hours (even though it might have been a joke), I'm a bit worried.
