Bessie Mae, logically I'm sure that you're right. But you're not an angry, jaded, crazy shipper who smells conspiracy in everything like I am. On top of that, even if it does mean nothing, which again I'm sure it does, if Cameron did it you can't tell me that HAM shippers (not all of them) would be squeeing and applying all kinds of hidden meaning in it. Although it's not fair to single them out, I admit I'd probably do it too if it was Wilson. Again, crazy H/W talking. Ignore me.
I do get being all happy if it's the person you want. You just tell yourself/see that it means something significant (I don't see any of it, so I don't want to phrase it wrongly) and it's all good and squee-worthy. It's the fear that it might be someone you don't want that puzzles me. It only matters then if the writers intend it to mean something. Eh, but it's just one of those things that my non-ship/slash mind can't process. Don't mind me.

Basically, people read things into it. Because it's fun and that's what they think. It isn't right or wrong, it's just an opinion.

I didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with it. And, I think I'll just leave the discussion there and move on to other spoilers. Well, when there are any that look interesting to me.

Well, if it helps, marykir just posted clips for tomorrow night's show. The first with the newbies is meh, but the second HAS WILSON!
idonmatrix- 10-08-2007
Yes!!! Wilson!!! I thought the patient saying that he was trapped in a useless body (the House tell's it like it clip) was interesting. I wonder if House was angry about that rather than trying to argue his belief that there's no after life "just this." I wonder if that's what prompt House to do the screwdriver in the socket thing. Looking forward to the episode.

I'm slow and can't find the new clips on mk's site. Could someone post a link, please? *hopping in excited circles, ready to be spoiled*
ETA: Thanks much saara! Damn, I'm liking Volakis quite a bit more now. And if Kutner really is an overexcited foster kid, cool. Now as long as the electrocution thing isn't too retarded, this stands to be a decent ep.

"If your genitals are aesthetically pleasing"
Oh shut up House. That over-trying is really getting pathetic.

When House said that it made me wonder if he also read 13's personnel file. If so, her BIG secret couldn't be anything personal. It has been something professional. I think it's going to be an awesome episode. Also did anyone notice in the promos that House looks like he's dreaming about Wilson in that scene, where Wilson tells House "you don't know"
DIY Sheep- 10-09-2007
House is going to stick a knife into an electrical socket for lords sake! The man is nuts. But nooo - are Cuddy and Wilson going to send him to the psych ward?
Oh it's just House. He does suicidally stupid things ALL the time.
But I presume House is still on his quest for 'meaning'...

The "get out and go where? there's just this clip" seems weird. Out of character somewhat. Not because he's arguing the afterlife doesn't exist, but...if this guy really is going to be confined to a bed vomiting and in pain till he dies, I don't see why House is arguing the point, unless he really is a little freaked out about the clinic guy, which doesn't make sense as we all know house's heart has already stopped once but whatever! Anything from season one's already been morphed into something else anyway, why not change the story.
DIY Sheep- 10-09-2007
That's a good point, but House seemed a bit in doubt in Three Stories - was it electrical charges or 'something'?
I also think, although he'd have no problem smothing the guy with a pillow while he did it, he'd still argue the issue to the death.

Heh, well I guess it works in his mind the more experiences of it he has the more able he'll be to draw a conclusion. Because then of course he'll actually die.
What you've said rings true, but I mean, in other episodes, like Who's your daddy? He had a point there that he was arguing, but he gave it up because it made Crandall happy, even if he only did that out of guilt. And then last week, "he couldn't kill the dream?" but now he's happy to kill the hope?
It's weird.

New clip, thanks to Sheep.
WITH CHASE!!!!
And he's all... awesomely awesome and stuff.
Oh, there's some Cameron too. I don't know.

The one thing I pick up from all three clips is that House is tired of the game and is incredibly frustrated. Although there's only one newbie clip, his frustration in the other two clips is pretty evident. In a clip with the POTW (not the outlet-shock guy), he listens to the guy talk about being in relentless pain and not wanting to live any longer in that condition. He wants it to be over. To "move on". House questions what he wants to "move on" to. Because "nothing's there." House's tone is frustrated, but you can tell that he's listening and the patient is getting under his skin (big hot button for House--relentless pain). You wonder how many times House has thought the same words that the guy is articulating.
