Ariadne- 01-17-2009

Wilson is extra kind to homeless people and visits the spot where he last saw his brother. Unless he's changed over the past four seasons, it seems like he wants his brother back. Losing Amber should make him want his existing ties even more.

Cutie Honey- 01-18-2009

Yeah. Judging by Wilson's actions in "Histories" (namely the final scene with Wilson and House) it gives off the impression that Wilson misses LLB and wants him back. It would be nice if he does want him back ... Wilson needs a little happiness in his life. The return of LLB might bring him that. - - - - - As for the new Wilson spoiler in the spoiler thread .... I'm conflicted. I'm disappointed that some of his screentime is limited to playing the Huddy matchmaker (again) and angsting over Thirteen (since when did he give a crap? I hope he isn't going to compare/relate Amber's death to Thriteen's dying. Not everything needs to be about Thirteen!) But I'm very happy that he hasn't moved on from Amber yet and that we'll finally see how Amber's death is effecting him. (better late than never).

sugarcoated- 01-18-2009

Sorry, I didn't phrase it well. I meant House is preoccupied with Thirteen and her horrific side-effects from the drug trials, not Wilson. And the poster is a Huddy shipper, so sees everything through lenses. Even calls Wilson Mega-Huddy. Wilson mostly psychoanalyses Cuddy's actions in the ep, not telling House to date her. But I guess this falls into the matchmaking category too.

jair- 01-18-2009

These new spoilers are all sound excellent to me. I'm delighted Thirteen's story is finally getting tied into House's--there's always been the potential for what's happening to her to reveal more about House's own issues with what's in store for him--and the Painless episode seems to be about pointing out that he has his own grim path ahead of him, where he gets increasingly less able to function due to pain. House's struggle to find a way to function that doesn't impair him too much has always been a strong storyline to me, and if that's the part that Thirteen's story brings into the spotlight, I'm on board. And the Wilson stuff sounds like the writers are setting up the LLB storyline, which looks like it will really delve into where Wilson is emotionally, and maybe what's set up his negative patterns for relationships. Amber represents a positive step forward for him; maybe LLB will represent what set him into his negative pattern. I also think that the writers made a decision with the Amber arc to show that both men are capable of having a serious romantic relationship with a woman at the same time as they continue their own relationship, something we've already seen with the Stacy arc. The focus will no doubt shift, but I don't think we will see House's feelings for Cuddy have to completely shut down in order for him to care about what's up with Wilson. Wilson did not have to have his feelings for Amber, before or after her death, shut down for him to care about House. I'm hoping we see all the strands of this season come together as the season heads to its finale.

LightMyCandle- 01-18-2009

We always assume that Wilson misses his brother and wants him back in his life. What if he DOESN'T? That would be an interesting twist, but I think even if that is the case, Wilson will still feel obligated to help him out anyway. I'm conflicted on the Wilson spoilers too. But, I'm mostly happy. I'm glad we'll get to hear that he's still trying to deal with Amber and see more of him in her apartment (I always thought that keeping him there could easily have some significance at some point) and that there's a lot of him in the episode. It makes me sad that he's sad and alone at the end but I definately think it's a setup for LLB to return. Maybe LLB will make for a good distraction or fill the emptiness that he's feeling. Maybe he's so invested in Huddy to keep his mind off of himself and his own problems and LLB coming back will give him something important to do and it gives him a second chance with someone he was close to.

sdemar- 01-18-2009

Oh, that new spoiler with Wilson makes me sad. Cutie Honey, maybe the reason Wilson doesn't discuss it with House is because he knows House isn't good at this sort of stuff. Remember how he tried to talk to him back a couple of seasons ago and House totally shut him out and said he wasn't that sort of friend. I agree this is a perfect set-up to LLB. I think we will get more of that wonderful acting skill from RSL. The three major characters-House, Wilson and Cuddy are all very lonely guarded people. No wonder they find solace in each other.

Taiga- 01-18-2009

maybe the reason Wilson doesn't discuss it with House is because he knows House isn't good at this sort of stuff. Don't forget how Amber died! It would be difficult for him to feel comfortable talking to House about Amber's death considering House's involvement (don't jump on me, I know it wasn't House's fault) and that it was the catalyst for Wilson leaving House. Interesting idea that it's to pave the way for LLB - maybe Wilson will grab at the idea of regaining someone he loves. Know what I'd like? (Remember it's all about me). If House was involved with LLB, trying to give Wilson back his brother. Either consciously or subconsciously trying to make up for Amber, trying to prove that he really is a positive force in Wilson's life. Having Wilson show he still trusts House with the life of someone he loves. That would melt my House/Wilson friendshipper heart. I'm glad they're addressing Wilson still living in Amber's apartment. At first I was surprised that Wilson was bonding with the PotW, but when I think about it he's the ONLY character who never has. I've always found that interesting about Wilson, how he appears so open but is actually very secretive. I'm also glad someone is calling out Cuddy on her pranking House. The latest spoilers seem to have Wilson acting as the Cuddy Whisperer, and I like that. Cuddy needs a friend, I've always liked their friendship. and it makes her more of an independant character from House to have her own whisperer. Hopefully she'll regain her senses at the end, because the thought of her pulling childish pranks on House really makes me dislike her. Which brings me to the burning question: Everyone is happy at the end except Wilson? I can get Cuddy being happy with a baby to come home to, but House is happy too? Interesting. ETA Cuddy's motherhood is just a part of her character? That's perfect! (am happy)

alias_smith- 01-18-2009

I just saw a very brief snippet of an interview with RSL, and he said that Cuddy's baby won't be a very big factor in the second half of season five. He said he assumes the baby is at home and being fed formula. So, it looks like she will keep the baby, but it will fade out of the story lines after a few episodes.

LightMyCandle- 01-18-2009

he said that Cuddy's baby won't be a very big factor in the second half of season five. He said he assumes the baby is at home and being fed formula. Thank goodness for small favors. I think it makes perfect sense that Wilson wouldn't talk to House about this, he's a private person to begin with, that added to the way he lost Amber probably makes it a subject he would be hesitant to bring up. I think it's cool that he's going to bond with a patient, we have never seen that and I'd like to see how he relates to one. My guess House will remain oblivious until LLB actually shows up, then he'll be curious about that. but House is happy too? The only thing I can figure is that he's hanging out with Cuddy and baby and frankly that image makes me cringe.

Ariadne- 01-18-2009

As Wilson said, he got little sympathy from either House or Cuddy about Amber's death although we heard that Cuddy had visited him at home so he wouldn't talk to them about her. They used Cameron in the role of Wilson Revealer in season 2 but since she and Chase are candidates for WAT for yet another seasons so I'm glad Wilson gets to talk to a patient. Does Foreman switching Thirteen's drugs cause her brain tumor? Will Thirteen be the only person ever to have brain surgery and not have a shaved head? Will either of these characters ever be let go from the hospital for cause? Because as long as you're shark jumping, go all the way. Is there anything more they can throw at Thirteen? She's lost her mother at a young age, she's got HD, she was doing drugs and wild sex, was in the placebo group of the drug study and now she has a brain tumor. And yet she lives. How is it that Foreman still has his job, much less his medical license? One wild, crazy brilliant doctor who breaks all the rules is enough. Three (House, Foreman and Thirteen) diminishes the effectiveness of House doing it. On the up side, after reading the spoilers I'm almost glad that Cameron and Chase aren't in this episode and the Huddy spoilers make me appreciative that the show decided to go House/Cuddy instead of House/Cameron. I am however puzzled that Shore can say that Cuddy understands House and yet Wilson has to point out to her that she's causing House real physical pain. It brings back memories of season 3 when Cameron had to tell her the effect of the lie in Meaning. he said that Cuddy's baby won't be a very big factor in the second half of season five. I hope so. But they're already in the second half of the season and the existence Cuddy's baby figures large in eps 12 - 14. Since KJ said she hasn't told JS and JM what their big storyline is for the last 6 episodes that will bring them back into the fold, RSL probably doesn't know yet what those episodes are about either other than LLB's appearance. He might be speaking about his own arcs rather than the show overall. I hope Cuddy doesn't lose the baby though now that she's finally got it. Or worse, give it back because she wants House more.

Taiga- 01-18-2009

Wuh? Thirteen has a BRAIN tumor? Oh for God's sake. I'm starting to think I'll just mute the TV when she appears. As Wilson said, he got little sympathy from either House or Cuddy about Amber's death What, when did he say that? I thought Cuddy was very sympathetic, and House did his best.

bailey- 01-18-2009

Did I miss it? Where does the 13 brain tumor come from?

Ariadne- 01-18-2009

Sorry. I don't have a specific link to confirm on the brain tumor so I'll take it out of my post. I thought Cuddy was very sympathetic, and House did his best. House didn't contact Wilson for months and told him to buy a plant when Wilson said he wanted a change of scenery. Wilson blew up at Cuddy in the couples counselling session for how she had behaved earlier. They may be friends again but I can see why Wilson wouldn't want to open up to her. The PI said that Cameron was visiting him frequently to talk while he was away from PPTH to talk about dealing with Amber's death,

Nightdog Barks- 01-18-2009

There was a very detailed spoiler of episode ... 14(?) up for a while on LJ and it said that Foreman discovered that Thirteen had a brain tumor. Edited that I'm referring to the conversation on the previous page. The spoiler has since been taken down from where I saw it, but supposedly it's still visible on a small House/Cuddy comm.

LightMyCandle- 01-18-2009

But they're already in the second half of the season and the existence Cuddy's baby figures large in eps 12 - 14. I thought LE said the baby panic Cuddy's having comes to a head in early Feb. so hopefully ep. 14 is the last of that. That still leaves plenty of episodes left for other things and maybe this season can still be saved (for me, I know others have enjoyed it.) And, what tumor? Did I miss something? If she has a tumor I'm just going to get myself into therapy. Are the kidding me with this?! it said that Foreman discovered that Thirteen had a brain tumor. I...am...speechless. I-I-just...there are no words. One disease isn't enough? What, do they want some big, dramatic near death arc for her and didn't realize until it was too late that Huntingtons progresses too slowly to make that happen for them?
