AUSIELLO: Let's get right to the big issue: Chase and Cameron. They've been sidelined for nearly two years now. Fans are frustrated. I'm frustrated. Give us all some good news. KATIE JACOBS: We're going to have some changes by the end of the season. DAVID SHORE: The last half-dozen episodes of the season, significant stuff will happen. Potentially game-changing. , you will be seeing more of them next year. We found a way to use them more. This is very exciting news IF Jacobs and Shore are being completely honest for a change. I just hope their idea of seeing more of Chase and Cameron doesn't mean they get 40 seconds per episode instead of 20 seconds.

when questioned by Chase (who's obviously concerned) I'm sorry, but there's absolutely no evidence Chase is going to get actual plot related lines or anything more than we've already seen - MoRyan posted that she originally didn't even think Chase was in this episode, which is what makes that both the clip & the promo pic of Chase & the interview so laughable. More Chase & Cameron, that's the same old line we've heard for how long now? Zero credibility I think is a good term to describe KJ & DS on the subject.

Ah, see i'm six of one half a dozen of the other. I wanna believe them when they say we WILL be getting more Cameron (not so bothered about Chase) But i really DON'T want to believe them when they start discussing Huddy sex....no sparks since the kiss, none...but oh lets just have sex. Off the the bitterness thread i feel.......

DS and KJ really don;t get the point (mine anyway) 13's screentime is getting the flack because there is alot of it but no character should be getting more screentime or story arcs more than the lead one i.e. House and if it was any of the others i would be upset too.

I definitely see what you mean, but after five years, even the character of House starts to run out of new story lines. If they made their mistakes anywhere, it was doing two brand new things at once: bringing in a larger cast and putting more focus on the ensemble. Since hindsight is 20/20, it's obvious now that they should have done the new focus first, to get the viewers used to the idea that House won't be onscreen 40 minutes an episode, and then brought in the new cast. But that's a discussion for another thread. On another topic, I wonder what they mean by "big changes" for Chase and Cameron. I hope it's not necessarily related to the "someone may be leaving the show" that KJ was talking about at the GGs. I guess if it was, that would defeat the whole point of giving them more screen time, especially since those characters are finally getting to settled points in their lives. While someone could make the argument for JM/JS to leave (I'm not one of them), there's no reason for Chase and Cameron to leave.

On the other hand i would totally forgive them for Thirteen's HUGE amount of screentime if she were the one leaving. Basic TV/Movie sense, build up a character get the audience to bond ( :lol: ) and then kill said character off....works for me :devil:

But yes. Interesting question of whether or not House is actually in more pain, or just trying to draw the patient out.

I would like Chase and Cameron to be more integrated into the show, but Ausiello is right (*blink* I never thought I'd say that), it's been two years. The producers promise to get everyone working togther, and then nothing much comes of it. I would really like them to solve this problem.

TPTB never almost never admit when they've f****d up. They created 13, they have to defend her and her stories and her screen time. I just wonder of there is an iota of truth that Chase and Cameron will actually become players again. Sorry if this is to bitter for this thread, but there is too much spoilerage for the bitterness thread. And as Cameron fan, I've had to suck it up in just about every thread imaginable! :lol:

The promo pics for "Big Baby" are up on foxflash.com, and here is a caption: "House treats a special education teacher (Erika Flores, L) whose seemingly inherent goodness is actually a pathology..." WHY IS THE SHOW REPEATING ITSELF? Does nobody remember "No More Mr. Nice Guy"? How about "Autopsy"? There are a gazillion ethical issues yet to be touched on, so why do they feel the need to REPEAT THINGS THEY'VE ALREADY GONE THROUGH THOROUGHLY? See also "97 Seconds" and "Three Stories."

I think it is hard to keep the negativity out of the spoiler thread when the spoilers are actually about the negativity. Mod Note: Maybe so, but let's make a concerted effort to keep the bitching in the Bitterness thread, people. Thanks, Fid.

Based on the previews, I think the next ep could be a good one. Seems to have a serious air about it, which makes sense since they are focusing on pain, House's and the POTW. I enjoyed the conversation between House and Cameron where she says, "If I thought you learned lessons, I never would have quit." That's new, isn't it? It indicates to me that Cameron's reason for leaving House's team was mostly that she realized House was never going to change and she saw no reason for putting up with the negative side of working with him.

The new promo photos (for 5.13 Big Baby) include a shot of House holding Cuddy's baby. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but that shot makes my heart melt. :heart: I can't wait to see how this scene plays out. Does she hand him the baby? Does he ask to hold her?

Totally agree. I enjoyed the previews. It left me wanting more that's for sure. And I had to watch the Cam preview over again as it wasn't clicking in my head what she said. That site also has a short synopsis of 5.13 Big Baby, along with 5 promo photos—including one of House holding Cuddy's baby. Cutest pic ever. I'm a sucker for Hugh Laurie, and babies. The look on Cuddy's face is sweet. That photo alone says so much. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but that shot makes my heart melt. :heart: Not unpopular at all!!!
