I think this is Wilson living up to what he said in Dying Changes Everything -- he's done enabling House. Good point, it also fits in with kicking House out of his apartment in the last ep. instead of letting him hide out there. Time to let House be a big boy.

Good point, it also fits in with kicking House out of his apartment in the last ep. instead of letting him hide out there. Time to let House be a big boy. Yes. Also he was getting ready to go into surgery, not the best time to have a conversation about House's love life or lack thereof. Of course, in my imaginary H/W world, Wilson backs off b/c he doesn't want anyone with House but himself. :)

melly- 11-13-2008

I'm oddly looking forward to seeing House interacting with his patient and tormenting Foreman again.

I'm oddly looking forward to seeing House interacting with his patient and tormenting Foreman again. Yes, but why does Foreman need House's permission to run a trial? Doesn't he work for Cuddy? I think I may need a new org chart to understand the dynamics.

I think I may need a new org chart to understand the dynamics. It is confusing, isn't it? Sometimes Foreman works for Cuddy, sometimes he works for House, and sometimes House seems to work for him, or at least Foreman has something of a veto power.

Elompanti- 11-14-2008

Again, I don't know if this really classifies as a spoiler, but I looked around Greg Yaitanes's Twitter and he sometimes posts about 'House'. Those are the maybe interesting bits: Is starting Day 3 in the airplane set. (Oct. 27th) Is shooting the fake plane. (Oct. 27th) And by shooting I mean filming and by fake I mean not real. And by not real I mean big and expensive. (Oct. 27th) Fake airplane went faster then expected (Oct. 28th) Thinks the fakehospitalscript has cool stuff in it. (Oct. 30th) Wants to stay in all day and watch movies. Instead it's a double dose of fake hospital and all night with the fake plane. Sweet. (Oct. 31st) Take two http://twitpic.com/jbw8 (Nov. 1st) Is shooting all night. Lots of crew in costume. The cast doesn't get the appeal since they dress up and put make up on year round. (Nov. 1st) This means something: http://twitpic.com/jc4g (Nov. 1st) Did we already hear something about a plane?

Maybe they flip a coin to determine who's in charge that day. Huh. Don't recall anything about an airplane being mentioned yet. I'm assuming it's for an opening "potw collapses/seizes/ bleeds out their ears" scene.

sdemar- 11-14-2008

It sounds like the crew dressed up for Halloween.

marykir- 11-14-2008

Huh. Don't recall anything about an airplane being mentioned yet. I'm assuming it's for an opening "potw collapses/seizes/ bleeds out their ears" scene. 3 days on the one set (and expecting more...) seems like too much time for an opening scene? But the plane itself doesn't look like something anyone from PPTH would be on. It looks like the kind of plane that might be used for delivering emergency aid, or maybe firefighting? Maybe the inside of the plane doesn't match the outside :) OTOH, fake hospital + fake plane sounds like maybe some sort of dream thing. I should shut up. I obviously don't know what I'm talking about :)

melly- 11-14-2008

Perhaps Thirteen is leaving PPTH to make the most of what's left of her life by delivering humanitarian aid to those less fortunate? Instead of just community outreach Cameron goes worldwide? Kutner sets half of Princeton on fire and they need fight it from the air? I should probably continue in the crack thread.

Ariadne- 11-14-2008

I'm looking forward to Kutner being an on-line House. That could be really funny. I'm glad to see they're taking advantage of Yaitanes bus-work in HH and giving him the plane stuff. Perhaps Thirteen is leaving PPTH to make the most of what's left of her life by delivering humanitarian aid to those less fortunate? Is there a thread for Please TPTB, Make This Happen? House refusing to let Foreman do the drug trials don't make sense on so many levels. For one thing, drug trials bring prestige and money to a hospital as well as status to the investigators so Cuddy should be pushing this like crazy. For another, Foreman has gotten his PhD in eye-rolling and financial magazine reading already so there's no more need to practice more. But I've given up expecting this show to make any sense in the real world. Anyone want to take me up on a bet that as soon as House hears it's to help 13, he'll be all over it? To steal a line from a friend, 13 is going to be the first person ever to beat Huntington's. Wilson may be wanting House to grow up and be a big boy but he's still enabling by intervening with Cuddy.

For one thing, drug trials bring prestige and money to a hospital as well as status to the investigators so Cuddy should be pushing this like crazy. For another, Foreman has gotten his PhD in eye-rolling and financial magazine reading already so there's no more need to practice more. Since when does any of that matter to House? Wilson may be wanting House to grow up and be a big boy but he's still enabling by intervening with Cuddy. Maybe he has, maybe he won't say a thing to her in the episode. He can't change all at once, it's about baby steps. Last week, he was being encouraging, maybe now that House chickened out, Wilson's choosing to be done with the subject. Or maybe he's got other things on his mind and doesn't feel like talking about it. Or maybe he's just trying to focus on the surgery he's about to do and can't talk about it right at that moment. Or maybe it's something else entirely that we don't know about becauase all we have are three less than 60 second clips to work with.

Chipmunk_love- 11-14-2008

Wilson may be wanting House to grow up and be a big boy but he's still enabling by intervening with Cuddy. And yet Cuddy wasn't having any of it. There's nothing he can do anymore wrt making Huddy happen, nor should it, beside support whatever decisions they make. By the way, Ariadne, you have a question waiting for you in the Media thread.

bailey- 11-14-2008

God, they seriously miscast this show. Reading the interview that KJ gave today makes me see what they'd like to be showing on House wrt 13, but I'm sorry to say that it's just not coming across to me. At all. I would probably see 13 spiraling more if she had started in a more recognizable place. I thought maybe "Lucky 13" indicated some sea change in behavior for her but given her bad ass attitude and clear knowledge of illicit drugs, I really can't tell if she's in a better or worse spot than before. Add to the fact that her character is utterly unlikeable and you get something not worth wasting the amount of film they're shooting. I am simply gobsmacked that they put so much of this season on 13/OW's shoulders. What an error in judgment.

ixtab- 11-14-2008

Still no mention of Wilson re: The Hostage Episode. Are we really going to spend all those extra minutes on more 13Angst!! and not explore Wilson's fears?
