Thirteen could volunteer
I think you've got something here, and I would guess that it plays into her ongoing story line of, "Why not do it? I'm dead soon anyway."

I'm confused about how 13 as the guinea pig would work in finding out what's wrong with the patient, though - it seems like that would only be effective if they both have the same symptoms.

I'm still going to mentally prepare myself for "OD,OR, 13 style" episode.
Talk about Halloween terror! I won't be able to sleep tonight with that thought in my head! ;)

I don't think it would - the patient would just want to make sure he's not about to get shot up with a syringe full of sedatives or something. At least that's the way I was thinking about it. Although considering that it's anyone's guess what's flowing through Thirteen's bloodstream these days, maybe not the greatest plan. (Not that there is any medical equipment or medication in Cuddy's office, so that's going to be logistically interesting...)

13 is used as a "guinea pig"? What are they testing on her?
Didn't we get a spoiler somewhere that Foreman would be starting her on a clinical trial for a new experimental med for Huntington's?
I wonder if the PoTW finds out that Thirteen has Huntington's. Maybe he makes House try out all the treatments on her first.
I do hope that we get some good Wilson in this episode. Are there any SGA fans here? 'Cause I'm hoping that Wilson channels Ronon Dex and tries to storm Cuddy's office and rescue his man.
But of course that won't happen.
I love SGA. And now I totally have a picture in my head of Wilson with Ronon's hair. :D

But to have a character that's been completely benched for a year suddenly pop in and notice that House and Cuddy are behaving strangely would be beyond terrible plotting. Ariadne wrote: It would also require first House to tell Cameron that he kissed Cuddy and then Cameron to run to the new team to tell them in order to let the cat out of the bag. Cirque du Soleil would be impressed with the twists needed to get there.
Because Cameron has no established characterisation as being interested in House's life in particular and people's lives in general and being willing to dig into things until she knows?

Because Cameron hasn't shown much interest in House, period, for the last year. The guy was in a bus accident and underwent deep brain stimulation having a seizure after having a heart attack and apparently she didn't much care. Dusting off that old chestnut that Cameron simply must know everything about House again after not using that chew toy in the last year would just be pretty stupid writing.
Anyway, it looks like its 13 that asks with House being all too happy to share. Unless, of course, he gets asked all the way through the show which would be...annoying.

And it's nice to see that the "I kinda hit that last night" is played by him as a joke (as I suspected it would be), thinking they'll never believe it, that they'll all assume he's joking as always. And he's right! They all seem to think he's joking, as he often says inappropriate things to them about Cuddy. He's hiding the kiss in plain sight!
As much as I hate 13, I did like her response: "Wow, she looks pretty good for someone on roofies."
LightMyCandle- 10-30-2008
Okay, Wilson's "there's a reason--" is pretty much all I need to be totally convinced he's scheming this episode because that was definately his, "O. M. G. You totally like her! YAY! I knew it :P " tone that he's used during the Cameron and Cate situations in the past.
I like the way Cuddy acted in the clip. They're not making her look desperate or rejected. So far, so good on that front. It makes me wonder if both House and Cuddy would just completely drop it but Wilson just can't let it lie.
Cameron...oh, Cameron. *sharpens blade* I'm watching you missy.

I cannot watch the clips. I have clip envy.
I can see Thirteen volunteering herself as a hostage / guinea pig for hostage taker. If she's going to die young anyway then her death could have meaning, plus even though I don't like her I have to admit she's strong.
I think if House was seriously, seriously interested in getting Cuddy to admit feelings for him, then he'd had no problems doing it himself.
He's done it before, in 'Need To Know'. He told Wilson he kissed Stacy, waited for Wilson to run to Stacy to talk about it, then asked him what Stacy said.
Please don't let House get shot again, please please please. Or Cuddy. Don't let House discover his true feelings about Cuddy after watching her get taken hostage.
Foreman worries about whether he can function without House's leadership while treating an emancipated minor. When did this show get so fond of anvils?
NightOwl- 10-30-2008
No, in "Last Resort," House and the new team will be treating the emancipated minor. Foreman will be treating another child (presumably not an emancipated child) on his own.

Along those lines, being a hostage is one thing, I don't want to see Cuddy get shot. I'm actually begging not to see that. I really don't think House needs anymore "discovering of his true feelings for her" anyway. It's the same reason I figured Wilson wouldn't be in danger here, they've already recently addressed how much House wants Wilson and Cuddy in his life and the season so far has been about him having to face his feelings for them and actually do something about it to keep them. They don't have to take it a step further and actually have Cuddy shot/taken hostage. I mean, what would be the point? We get that he cares about her, I think he gets that he cares about her, even if he doesn't want to go around making a bid deal about it. She already had "Airborne" to be sick/hurt. It was just hysteria but they didn't know that for a while.
And WORD to not wanting to see House get shot again, if they must keep putting him at death's door, the least they could do is find a different way to do it each time.

I did, too. She's laying the facts out in front of House, and it's up to him to do with them as he pleases.
Which now makes me wonder what prompts the "What's up with you and Cuddy?" from Cameron. Obviously she's hyperaware of what House is doing. I feel like House's actions will play some role in what Cameron has to decide with regard to Chase, but I'm not convinced that it will be about her feelings for House. Maybe she sees the way House is repressing feelings about Cuddy, recognizes that within herself, and decides to take action with Chase. But again, it has nothing to do with her feelings for House. I think Cameron's starting to be stronger than that.

I have my own personal opinion as to why they placed the clip with the mention of 'roofies' on the mainpage...so people like me can google it.
House is once again protecting Cuddy.
And I totally agree, LMC...please TPTB, please do not shoot House, Cuddy, Wilson or anyone else on the team for that matter (not even 13, because then again the focus will be on her). House does not need to be saving Cuddy's life...not this season, anyway. We've had enough with death and near death to last several seasons; save the dying or near dying for the POTWs, please!
Save the Cuddy saving for season six or seven. I fully expect it to happen at one point or another, but hopefully not this season.
And WORD to not wanting to see House get shot again, if they must keep putting him at death's door, the least they could do is find a different way to do it each time.
At this rate, the only way to make it any different would be to have the man trampled during the running of the bulls.

I hope you're right. If Ausiello is to be trusted (and we all know that it's best not to take what he says as gospel) then Cameron and Chase will move in together. I'm hoping that whatever her reasons for keeping Chase as "just a visitor" have nothing to do with her feelings for House. And I'm guessing that she'll acknowledge that but decide that she wants to work through those issues with Chase, hence deciding to move in with him. Let's just keep the dreaded Crush out of the situation.
Which now makes me wonder what prompts the "What's up with you and Cuddy?" from Cameron.
Hopefully, she just shares a scene with Cuddy and House, notices them acting strangely around each other, and is just being her usual nosy self. Anyone else notice that Chase is trailing behind her and House in that shot?
Save the Cuddy saving for season six or seven. I fully expect it to happen at one point or another, but hopefully not this season.
ITA, I've given up on it happening with Wilson, but Cuddy's still got a good chance at some hurt/comfort, just please not this season.
