People Who Avoid Commitment: Foreman/Cameron
Come on! SOMEBODY besides me out there in the wide world of the interweb's got to find this relationship appealing, right? I know it's unlikely, especially given that the fellows are no longer fellows this season, but... Oh and the thread title is taken from "Insensitive", when Foreman tells Cameron, "I wasn't criticizing you. People who avoid commitment are the ones who know what a big deal it is."

I actually like this ship! Something about them together just sort of appeals to me. Although I personally wouldn't forgive some of the things Foreman has done toward Cameron, Cameron herself apparently has. The sweet hug in Human Error was all wibble-inducing. There is a fic somewhere out there--now I wish I could remember which one--that mentions Foreman harboring a very small, very well-hidden crush for Cameron. I think I could see it playing out like that, especially since his reaction to The Date in S1 was to tell House that Ham just wasn't meant to happen. And I think there have been other slightly-protective Foreman moments, haven't there? (Yes, yes, I remember the article theft and the leg stabbing, please let me ignore that in peace.) And House did say she'd get to him eventually.

I don't know. This ship is kinda creepy. Too much backstabbing and underlying hatred for me to be able to support it, I guess...

But you know Cameron.... When everyone else in the hospital has been used up, she'll have to fall onto Foreman eventually!!

I can't for the life of me see this ship sailing anywhere.... But I could be wrong, of course!!

I like it because Foreman tells Cameron things she needs to hear from SOMEONE, and she does kind of soften him in a strange way. He has warmed up to her by the end of S3. Granted, this is a sophisticated stretch of the imagination, because it's not all PTB-verified, they haven't laid out explicit clues, etc. But I could see it. It's almost Ron/Hermione Book One in a weird way.

This ship is kinda creepy. Too much backstabbing and underlying hatred for me to be able to support it, I guess... And most of all, leg-stabbing. That's how I feel too.

Man, back in the day? This was my Sooper Sekrit Ship. Totally. 8) I thought they had a nice chemistry and it really did look like Foreman was like House, only nicer. Seemed like a win-win. However, the article issue and the stabbiness pretty much put me off it. Sigh.

They would both have to be completely insane to hook up with the other.

They ARE both completely insane. ;)

Even if the article "stealing" and needle stick had never happened, I would never believe in a romantic relationship between these two characters because all of their positive personal interactions have been too sibling-like. Chase even said (I forgot which episode), "She already has a brother." I got the same vibe when Foreman warned House before the date in Love Hurts and when they discussed relationships in Insensitive. Regardless whether Foreman was completely off base in both those instances, I still liked the dynamic, and I would prefer that their scenes continue in a similar manner rather than with sexual undertones.

That's a good ploint about the sibling-type relationship, misere, & I'll add there's some elements of sibling rivalry with the article thing etc. I do think JMO has more on screen chemistry with OE than she does with most of the rest of the cast combined which is why I like watching them together, but while I could have bought the idea in s1 (hypothetically, e.g. instead of the whole House date thing & putting down Chase, Cameron hit on Foreman) I just can't buy it post-article & post-Euphoria.
