Hah, I'm glad. It's definitely a lot easier to navigate now.
I just definitely need another mod for the Episodes now.
If you still need a mod, I'd be willing to mod on that forum as well.

Hah, if you're sure GG, I'll make you a mod for there as well. Considering that it's unlikely either HTR or myself will be around for the immediate aftermath of new episode airings, I definitely need more mods for that section :D

yeah I'm sure. My RL is not that busy, I'll be able to help out :D

Thanks, AZ! When it gets to September 25, extra mods will be much appreciated (though I might give all the mods permission to mod the S4E1 thread that night, just to keep things going smoothly).

I don't frequent a lot of message boards (this is only the fifth I've used and they are all different....) so if the answer to this is right in front of my eyes, please just point me in the right direction to see it....I get that the blueness indicates new posts in a topic since I last checked but I can't figure out how to go directly to the exact page I left off on. I can't possibly remember the page number I was on for every thread but I hate having to click on the last page and thumb backward till I get back to ones I read last time and then go forward again...There has to be a better way to find my place...? ~Going now to put on my dunce cap and stand in the Stupid Corner for a while~

sweet fern, this is how I do it (there may be other ways ;D).
On the index page in the top right hand corner there is a little list that starts "view posts since last visit". First click on that & you get a list of threads that have been updated since you last visited the board (you can bookmark this link & go to it directly at the board; the list includes new threads & lists the all the threads updated with the most recently updated first. You can also refresh the list while you are on the site - if you reload 5 mins later, it will add the last 5 mins worth of thread updates to your list).
How to use the list -> some of them will have a little arrow next to an orange box. Click on the box - it will take you to the first post made when you left that thread. If the thread has not been updated since you were last on the site (white bell) or you've never visited the thread (i.e. start at message 1), the box is missing.
You can also use the watching feature. At the bottom of the page for a thread there is a little line "watch this topic for replies". Click on that & the system will email you an alert when a thread is updated. The email has a link - click & it takes you to the point in the thread since you visited. I like this for watching the spoilers-only thread to get an alert when the thread is updated.

Thanks saara_zaara! I just knew it would be something totally obvious right in front of me... You're an

Welcome, sweet fern, make sure you use the orange box feature on the list to then get to the last post.
(& I'll talk to the mods about putting up a list of board features like this in the Guidelines section so everyone has access to this info.)

Any help with the "permission denied" for posting situation? I've gotten it three times now but have been able to post successfully eventually. I don't want to whine but getting that permission denied brings up bad memories....
ETA: never mind, saw it's been addressed in the board room....Jimminy cricket! It just denied me permission to use the extra smilies! It's like this program has its own notion of post content, post length and excessive use of emoticons and is in a very bad mood with me.... :? Maybe HAL doesn't like my ways...he must be a House/Cam shipper.

Okay, if you are still having problems, its a page loading issue. Wait 10 secs before trying to reload or refresh your page, its when you try to do it too fast that the page hiccups. Also, if you are having repeated problems, clear your cache, delete cookies & do a re-start before you do a clean log it - you're getting some of the repeat "permission denied" pages come up when they shouldn't because they are stored in your cache (you may also want to check your cache settings about how frequently its refreshed from a site).
Cross-posting from the other thread, just to make sure everyone sees this. I'll post an update as soon as I have it.

Does anyone know why it is when I get online and go here, click the orange boxes for most recent unread post, it takes me to the most recent unread post. BUT if I refresh the page and there is a new unread post and I click that orange box again it takes me straight back to the very first unread post and not the reply, I have to scroll past the posts I already read to get to the one I haven't read yet.
I hope that made sense.

It does, its because the clock hasn't reset in your cache. If you go look at the index page for the time of your last visit, when you refresh in the middle of a visit that doesn't change. The orange box calculates off the index page clock until you leave the site entirely. There may be a way to make it reset mid visit, I'll check.

Thanks :). It's odd, because I only have this problem here and not on any of the other places I visit. I tend to have a bunch of stuff open all day long and refresh those pages all the time.

It may be tied to the page reload problem they are currently having on server 10. I'll file that away to look at more closely later.
ETA - you can re-set the clock only by quiting your browser & then re-starting it, (refreshing the page will not do a re-set).
Are the reply/lost post problems going down for people? (I know the topic review window still has problems)

The edit post button is giving the permission denied message and some posts are not posting even after doing the recommended actions
