It may not be a precise spoiler in the media thread, but it's an awfully big hint.

Technical question: often when I write out a reply, and hit "Submit", it goes to a page that says "Post A Reply." I hit "Submit" again and then I get the message: "Invalid Form. Please try again" or something to that effect. At times I have to try four or five times before the message goes through. Is there a quick fix?

I have that problem when I'm taking a lot of time writing a response. If this is the case, I write my response in a word processor first, and copy/paste it into the quick reply window. I like doing that anyway because it's easier to see my entire post and the post ends up being easier to read.
Otherwise, it's sometimes the servers at Forumer that can be a problem. Othertimes, it could be a browser thing. I rarely have problems using Firefox with the addon called "Adblock Plus." I think almost all or all of the moderators here use that browser and addon.

Thanks, arizonamyrie. I'm doing this through (ugh) AOL most of the time, because I haven't figured out how to transfer my dozens of bookmarks to Firefox.

If nothing else, try accessing HHoW through Firefox after you read this and see if it fixes it. Most browsers issued by ISPs are based on Internet Explorer. Even though IE is very popular, it's leakier than a sieve and this on its own can cause a lot of problems.

Thank you! Yes, I use Firefox for a lot of applications, since video runs so much more smoothly there.

Question--is anyone having any security issues with the board? Got a report of possible problems-let me know if you've experienced anything strange.
Thanks!

Yes, Monday I was on this forum and the page froze. I finally got it closed and then right after my internet started redirecting me to adult pages and I started getting pop ups.
It could have been from something else, but I was on here when my browser first started acting funny. I wasn't going to say anything and assume it this forum until I saw your message... I'm walking on thin ice as they had to clean out my whole system and I would die of embarrassment if I got the virus on my work computer again! I'm using firefox to visit this forum now, hoping it will stop anything better than IE.

Oh dear, we're going to have to look into that. Thanks for sharing and hopefully we can figure it out and you won't have to deal with any(more) embarrassment.

With Firefox, make sure you have ad blocker on. I don't have any problems.
But we are going to talk to Forumer. It's one thing to have ads on the forums (no matter how annoying). Forumer is an almost free hosting site (just a few minor start-up costs), it's another for the ads they accept to cause problems with people's computers.
It's probably one or two specific advertiser. If anyone knows which ads they suspect, please add that info as well.

Thanks for looking into it. Like I said, I have no idea if what I got came from here and I wasn't going to bring it up until RHS asked. And sorry I don't remember the ad that was up when it happened.

Is the Season Seven General Discussion thread still supposed to be locked?
fffaw- 10-25-2010
Sorry about that - it's unlocked now.

There's a spoiler on the most recent page of the media thread. (three from the bottom, referring to episode 17)
