This isn't a board problem, I don't think, but are there any other Mac users with Firefox out there? All of a sudden, on my home computer, I can't get pages here to load. I've tried deleting my cookies, etc, but no such luck. I finally opened Safari and was able to get right in, so I'm guessing it's a browser thing.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone? Bueller?
Bailey, this has been happening to me intermittently and I have no idea why! I have a Mac and use Firefox as well.
The page will load for me initially, but after I'm online for about 20-30 minutes, they stop loading. Then I have to quit and relaunch Firefox. :?:

I don't think the problem is only with the Mac/Firefox. I use a PC and during all the week this has been happening with me too - today is a little better. After I visit two or three threads the pages stopped loading and I have to start it all over again. I tried to clean the cookies and flushed the cache but the problem continued. It's a mystery...

I'm using a PC with Firefox, and have only noticed occasional slowdowns this week, but I also noticed that at the start of the week, Forumer added the new gray bar at the bottom of each page with the occasional "flag content" button. I'm blaming this. And I don't know how to fix it.
The default it seems for fixing board issues really is to clean the cookies, cache, history, and reboot the system (or just delete board cookies).
And I'm a firm believer in anti-spyware and anti-virus to be running at all times and scanning weekly minimum (and I have Peer Guardian running as an anti-spyware software as well). In December I was having horrible problems with HHoW, only to discover it wasn't the board, it was my system due to a problem with spyware in my FAT32 system that corrupted it. This is of course an extreme example.
ETA - For the record, the gray bar at the bottom says "Server #7" for all of the boards visited. So, I'm blaming the Forumer software addition.

FYI, I've been trying to PM marykir and both times I sent it, the browser changes to the login window. I was in fact already logged in when I went to send the PM, but now I don't know if I'm spamming her by resending it (if it went through before it logged me out) or if in fact it never went through at all... I'm on a Mac using Opera 9.2.
(There's nothing to her in my sent box or outbox, so I'm guessing it didn't go through)

Hi guys, I made a mistake while posting a poll and now there are two polls - one with three options and one with four (I was trying to edit in the fourth option and accidentally created two polls :embarrassed:) Can you delete the older poll for me please, the one with three options, about whether Amber should live or die? Thanks and humble apologies!

Done, Tagia.

I don't think this is a browser problem since it happened both at home and um elsewhere :-). I write a post in the quick reply box and click submit. The I get a message "Invalid session please post again" and when I do there's a double post. I even managed a triple post doing this (deleted two of them). Don't really know if anything's wonky but it's happened a few times each on both places and hasn't not happened today (nice sentence structure don't ya think?) Anyway, the posts do seem to get through eventually, FYI.
And it just happened again.

Thanks for the heads up, Boffle. We'll check it out.

Hey y'all.
Not really a "problem" so much as a question. When I am on this forum I get a notice in the bottom of the page about something constantly trying to load - a subtracts userplane etc.... thingie. It literally reloads about once every six seconds and it is driving me crazy! I have googled it, and it seems to be part of a "chat" program... is it related to the chat on this site? My virus scanner does not pick it up. If it is, I will deal with it. But if not, I may have to dig deeper.
Thaks,
Lag

Not sure if this is the right place to report but sdemar mentioned a spoiler in the "Things You Want for S5" spoiler-free thread on page 4. Not trying to get anyone in trouble, just asking if you can remove it please. Thanks!

FIXED!

Anybody else having problems with the board logging you off? The last few days, I've had to log on with nearly every visit (and yes, I click the "log in automatically" button) and when I do it doesn't show which threads have new posts.
galaxygirl- 07-15-2008
I don't have any of those problems, but the board runs very slow for me.
fffaw- 07-15-2008
Board has been running super slow lately. I also have the same issues Namaste, but have had since the board started. Forumer works in mysterious ways! ;-)
I wish I had a solution for it, but I'm at a loss.
Boffle- 07-15-2008
Board was unreachable this morning from 7:30-8:45 or so, at least for me. :-)
