In Humpty, Dumpty he says that he says it's her guilt that makes her a crappy boss and that she's not happy unless everything is just right. I think he was talking about her inability to step back and look at things as a doctor. She gets personally involved and lets her emotions affect her decisions (see Fetal Position.)
And when he says she hasn't been a real doctor in 10 years, I assumed that she spends most of her time as an administrator, not practicing medicine. So her medical knowledge has become theoretical, not practical. While her technical skills might be rusty, that doesn't mean she's forgotten how to read an x-ray, just that she shouldn't be doing fetal bladder taps all by herself.

Now that Wilson is dating Amber and House is, on the outside at least, okay with that, how do you think House and Cuddy's friendship/attraction will evolve? I personally believe that they will become closer. From Cuddy's confrontation with Wilson in DEC, it seems that they're both on the same side of the "Question of Wilber," and I think that will definitely play a role in their relationship over the rest of the season and into S5. I'm not sure if we'll see them having their own version of L Word marathons, but who knows? As much as I ship Huddy, I would also love to see more of the platonic side of their relationship, and not in a employer/employee fashion, per se.

I ship House/Wilson, but I adore Cuddy. I like it when she's tough on House and doesn't let him get away with his shenanigans. I also get a guilty pleasure out her being tough on Wilson too; that little smack down she gave him in DEC was hilarious. She has so much power as Dean of Medicine I'd like to see her actually wield it much more.

Nice picture from Season 2 "All In" of House and Cuddy at the piano.

Too bad it never made it into the episode. *still bitter*

Was that from an actual cut scene or just a promo shot?
LightMyCandle- 03-06-2008
I really can't imagine it being from the episode, it seems very tender and out of place for that particular episode, at least between House and Cuddy, considering that he was trying to keep the whole case from her and her finding out and basically taking it anyway. I could be wrong though.

It was originally spun as one of those "leaked" photos (like the ones we got of Wilber before Frozen), which made all the Huddy shippers shriek with joy, and then All In happened, with the blatant "Oh, House thinks Cameron's pretty" moment. We were a little ticked, to say the least.

If it makes you feel any better, we didn't see House see Cuddy for the first time all dolled up, maybe he went gaga over her too.
If it also helps, I was a little ticked too, partly because I hate Cam and partly because I didn't think that dress worked for her. It made her arms look really long and spindly.

That's my hope (and inspiration for a one-shot fic).
Yeah, actually she looked better once she put her lab coat on.

Ah, yes. I remember now the cries of "But WHERE was the Piano!Sex?!"
Alas, it seems to have been a (very lovely) picture of Laurie and Edelstein, not House and Cuddy.

Yes, if it wasn't that Hugh/Jo was so adorable and long-lasting and legal, then I would totally ship Huli on that picture alone.

Yeah, am I the only one who gets really, really annoyed when fans ship real people who are otherwise married and/or in a committed relationship? Honestly, if someone is fortunate enough to find the person that makes them happy, the idea that they should get divorced just so you can live out your onscreen ship in real-life is rather selfish.
Maybe I'm taking it a little too seriously, but that really bothers me.
It makes me sad to hear about couples splitting up because their privacy was destroyed by the public and it begins to affect their relationship. I got one of the Yahoo! mail alerts for HL last week and it was for some stupid article claiming that not even a visit from his wife made him any less dour.
He's depressed because he's away from her and their children for months at a time, you assholes! That doesn't go away overnight, especially when he's suffered from depression before. Plus, it's just the pure sensationalism (THEY'RE GETTTING A DIVORCE NOW, I JUST KNOW IT--Oh Em Gee!) of it that really eats at me.
But, again, I may be putting too much thought into this.

Angelfirenze, you're talking about the Daily Mail article. They only have two things to write about when they get a new picture of HL -- he's going bald or he's miserable. Jo wasn't smiling in those pictures either -- it might have something to do with paparazzi following them and taking their picture.
Back on topic, Hugh and Lisa are adorable together. In the Inside the Actors' Studio interview he described her as "excellent fun" and she's recently said that Hugh and Robert make her laugh so much that she sweats and keeps having to get her makeup redone. I think the fact that they genuinely like each other shows when they're doing a real life event together (such as modeling the charity t-shirts) and it does create great House/Cuddy chemistry. But the fact that he is friends with a woman he works with doesn't make me worry about his marriage.

Thank you! My favorite thing about the TV Guide article that ran last April (that I have two copies of because TV Guide sent me the Cam version instead of the Cuddy version I wanted) is the fact that HL is back there with that beautiful wedding ring on prominent display. The fact that he and LE were both wearing red, white, and black to match everyone else in the picture was also awesome.
I...need to go to my mom's house and get my copy out of my room. Like...now...
Just so I can stare at it some more...
The Cam version is smeared with my fingerprints so I made sure to keep the Cuddy version in better condition with its shiny cover (thank snark for the Oscars coinciding with the printing of that issue) and much-cherished.
