It's back once again, and it looks like it's permanent since FV is no longer a mod or a maintainer. I'm sure the story behind that will come out some day.

So, French TV is re-running season 3 and I got to watch "one Day, One room". Three seasons later, it seems to me it was at that time that House really got interested in Cuddy, again, after the trial, when he suddenly realised that she was lying because of him. I loved this bench park scene at that time, but now I can see, under the teasing, a real warmth in House voice and eyes. He really, really wants to be kissed. And Cuddy manages to make him go back to work only by guilting him, which is a performance.
This is the kind of exchange I would love to see between them, as it is more believable than the lovestruck looks. Why can't the producers see it, and give it a try? Pretty sure a twisted, dysfunctionnal, but real hook up would be fun to watch and not lower the ratings.

I think twisted, dysfunctional, and hot is exactly where they are heading for this pair. But I don't think we will get there until the series is near its end.

I get your point. I am not hoping for the serie to end soon. But they are not getting younger, and frankly they could use a little more fun right now (*tries hard not to make bad jokes about House cane*)

Not sure if it is the good thread, but does anyone knows if the RPG Cuddy's House is over? It has not been updated for a long, long time.

Well, House admits that he wants to be more than friends with Cuddy.
I think Cuddy is in denial when she thinks that she just wants to be friends.

I'm wondering, though, how much of House's comment was aimed at hitting Cuddy where he knew it would hurt the worst, because he was in a crappy mood, and how much was about expressing his feelings.
Since House isn't the type to express his feelings, I'd say 70 percent hurt, 30 percent feelings.

His way of phrasing it is ambiguous enough to be interpreted differently by every ship, but I hope your interpretation is the right one, too. It can seem a strong choice, not settling for second best ; it could also be childish, wanting all or nothing ; so House-like.
And I don't think Cuddy is in denial; I think she is perfectly aware of her feelings toward House, but deluding herself in the fact she should be happy with a responsible, nice guy - Lucas. My take is that she is missing the banter, and boring herself obviously in the last episodes ; she looks tired, concerned, older ; I think she is beginning to wonder if she did the right choice, but still scared of what could happen.

I think that it's both interpretations together. I do think he meant it and that's why he hasn't tried to act like a friend all season long, but I also can't imagine him being this honest about his feelings unless he was trying to manipulate her or something.

For me, the comment by House at the end of "The Choice" was an extension of the idea he floated to Nash the dying patient in "Lockdown:" the Mayfield encounter with Lydia pushed House to realize that he is indeed lonely, that he does not want to remain lonely, and that he deeply wants a romantic relationship with a woman. Now he has expressed his choice in unequivocal terms: he wants a fully realized sexual and romantic relationship with Cuddy.
The tone of these marvelous final moments of "The Choice" reminded me of House and Cuddy's soft evocative scene in "Human Error" when he remarked without sarcasm or lechery how lovely her legs looked in the dim light. Now House has thrown his heart out to her in a way that is direct and undeniable. His nature -- revealed to him by the painful breakdown of last season -- does not permit him to follow a different course. So there are no games or deflections, no compromise, all in is the only way for House to operate. Cuddy now has a clear choice before her: stick with the solid but unsatisfactory Lucas or follow her heart back to House.

Both, probably.
But he could be really sincere, and only acting in a all-in way (as reminded by the poker game on his screen). What we know about him is that he managed an apparently successfull relationship with an apparently non insane woman for five years, after only one week of dating. They seemed pretty much in love after five years, as we were shown in Three Stories. He is able to commit when he thinks it's right.
After the hallucination he decided he wanted to be the man with Cuddy, only to be crushed when it proved to be unreal. After Lydia he seems to think, again, than he can safely reach out to someone. Now is the time : the way he expresses it can seem childish, though, like a whim. Now that he is ready, he wants her for himself. Before, he only wanted her not to be with anyone else.

In prior seasons, I would say House said what he did because it was the truth but also that he wanted to cut her like a knife in hurt. But not this season. House has made admissions and acted in ways we haven't seen before to those around him. He really is trying to reach out to those around him. He has been pretty clear with Cuddy this season that he wants a relationship with her and has used several approaches. None have worked so far. This is the most honest and heartwrenching one. He is totally stripped of disguise, deflections, sarcasm and games. I agree, the ball is now in her court.
I do hope we see some movement for both of them in Season 7 to come together. I have missed them together and I suspect they are missing each other, too. It's been a long season.

Currently a little down with this pairing.
I can't buy the way they are re writing House pinning for Cuddy for years, and yet I would like to see them together, so I imagine how people who do not like Huddy take it...
Seriously, it makes sense he has been physically attracted to her for years, and more and more interested in her for at last three seasons, I loved watching the built up of this interest, not very convinced in his newfound twenty-years-old love for her. I do hope they are not going to negate Stacy, now.
On Cuddy's part, now : we usually see House point of view, since it is his show. What did she really get from him? A one-night stand years ago, from which he walked away without calling ; years of verbal harassment and dysrespect at work ; being pushed away with more sexual comments when she made a move last year ; negating of her mother skills ; and, finally, public announcement of their supposed sex (when he thought it was real!)
House was clearly waiting for something from her last year, which he obviously did not get, and he was not ready to act before her. Now, he is willing to try, but he wants her now, because he is ready. Frankly, I fully understand why she is at least hesitating.
I want them together because I think it has a potential to work in a non usual, non sappy, non boring way. But the way the writers are manipulating it is not making me very optimistic.

Feeling better, obviously.
But that confirms that Cuddy is officially fucked up, too. This will be good!
