One Night I Gave You Everything You Wanted: House/Cuddy

Yes, I would love to see them hang out but wonder if they don't intentionally. Not because they don't like each other but because they do and fear where it will lead I agree with this. I think they do fear what could happen if they start actually socializing outside of the hospital. It could end up leading to something they aren't really ready for yet. There's that, along with the fact that we don't get much evidence of either of them socializing with many people outside of the hospital. Cuddy will go on the occasional date, and House has Wilson and... that's about it. As much as those on the outside could give reasons why they should be together more often, they probably don't see that or don't think that the other would be interested in seeing them more often than they already do.

Chippers(may I call you that?), that is a very good point. They still seem very unsure of how the other person feels about them. House isn't sure if Cuddy cares for him just as her hospital's best asset, or if she cares about him separate from that. Cuddy isn't sure how deep or serious his feelings are for her. I am really looking forward to seeing their interaction once House fully returns to the hospital, and they have to see each other on a regular basis.

It's gone again. Folks are working very hard to retrieve it, hope it works. :/

If this situation is intolerable, sometimes it's best to start your own community. That's how HHoW came into being. We were refugees from a domineering regime. Now we're free range House fans! :lol: 2. Sometimes we may seem slow to act, but that's because we strive for consensus among our mods. We discuss everything and make decisions together. Large communities don't get run by one person - it's alot of hard work and cooperation between mods and posters - a community effort. I don't know the people involved and have only visited their community a few times, but I know how I would feel if something like this happened to HHoW. My best wishes to Lissie and all the other folks as they start their new community. It's a difficult road, but rewarding.

This may change at any moment, but the comm is back. I'd suggest folks begin archiving anything they want, since Lord knows when the mod will change his mind again.

... And it's gone again.

The person in question is now the only mod and the only maintainer. So it's all totally at his pleasure. Last year a H/W person wanted to back away from the fandom and the craziness for a while so she deleted her account (not a community, just her personal account). Each day she undeleted it then deleted it again. That way she kept pushing back the 30 days LJ gives you to change your mind. (When she was ready, she left it un-deleted.) Maybe that's what the maintainer at House_Cuddy is doing, waiting for things to cool down. Regardless, archiving is obviously essential.

He's not waiting for things to cool down. He's poking it with a stick to flame the fires and get people riled up, then takes his ball and goes home again. Just before he opened it briefly, he posted in one of the temporary communities about how everyone was mean to him and he's just the victim and he said that he shut down the site because the 2,800 members don't "deserve it."

This is sad and the timing couldn't be worse. I had no idea someone had the ability to just go and delete a site because they wanted to take their lunchbucket and go home. I hope it reappears and someone snags the reigns from this individual. How childish.

There are two new comms -- locked_office and house_and_cuddy, that folks are being redirected to. There's a possibility that the two might end up merging, but right now things are still in a state of flux. ... yeah, I lurk a lot. :wink: Edited to include the actual links. Oops.
