swatkat24 has posted a fantastic, quirky piece of IC fluff: speak whale to me. (And thanks so much for the 'The Benefit' recs! I had fun writing that. :-))

Strong second for "Speak Whale to Me." It is the most wonderful kind of fluff -- sweet and a little melancholy and perfectly in character. And goddesspharo has a short but hard-hitting drabble from Amber's point of view: You're Always First When No One's On Your Side. Only 330 words, but it packs a wallop.

Hwshipper has posted The House/Wilson First Fuck Cohabitation Speculation. Rated NC-17. Those pesky PPTH betting pools just won't stop.

Thirding, or whatever we're up to, "speak whale to me." It's House and Wilson, with very effective use of an extended metaphor. Thanks for the rec for "A Very Threesome Christmas." For anyone who isn't sure, it's House/Wilson/Chase sweetness with just a hint of smut. Wilson gets carried away with the annual gentile orgy of consumerism, Chase agonizes over gift shopping, and House learns the true meaning of Christmas. Also, there's fruitcake.

The black_cigarette collective has posted a little Christmas present for their readers in the form of a "DVD extras" scene from "Aftershocks": Dinner Party. Martin makes one of his once a decade visits to House as a surprise dinner guest. Setting is pre-infarction, during the time when House and Stacy were living together. It's very, very tense and so well written.

An amusing followup to 'Ugly': Smile for the Camera. And sparrowlove's written a very nice fic where House writes poetry that's remarkably in character: Poetry.
