Well, keep in mind that Teddy House has no genitals or orifices. So it would be difficult. I guess he could give Wilson a paw-job...but, ew.
Hibernia- 10-05-2007
Yeah, Alex, that would just be icky!
Angelfirenze- 10-05-2007
I agree. I'm getting visuals. They're not nice. In fact...*squicks* Okay, I think I'm going to go back and read more ANGEL recaps now. Somehow it's less nauseating...
DIY Sheep- 10-05-2007
Rest assured - no mater how far my demented mind can go there is no kinky teddy bear sex in any of the House/Teddy Bear stories - or sex of any kind. Winnie is safe - and they are very sweet stories and safe for all the teddy bears out there.
Angelfirenze- 10-05-2007
Now I'm wondering about the Contract verse and whether it would have been possible to torture House with teddy bears. But, then, I guess Mr. Vicodin would have been null and void, wouldn't he? We simply cannot have that.
DIY Sheep- 10-05-2007
And also Winnie would never do that. One - he's a bear of little brain and two - I just generally get the geeling he is thinking about honey more than anything. Eyeore - maybe, but he's got issues. Mr V can't actually do anything nasty because I forgot to write him arms - he does have cute feet though.
Is it just me or are there very few stories floating around right now. This should probably pop over to the ff discussion board, but I have noticed a startling lack of ff lately. I'm going to have to go and find some good ones (hint hint) so I don't get too off topic).
Angelfirenze- 10-05-2007
I've noticed that, too. Is it against the rules here to let people know you've updated? I didn't see anything that said otherwise. In case it's not, the eleventh chapter of 'Disintegration' was posted earlier today at housefic and my journal. Housefic is probably the preferred place for most readers as a lot of you don't have Firefox and my layout depends on it.
*sighs and finally goes to bed*

The general policy is don't rec your own stuff or it may get MSTed (and I can be nasty), but I am remiss:
We have no problem with people giving updates with works in progress, but generally someone else has to do it. Don't ask me why, but that makes the story more tantalising. So, in that spirit, Disintegration is excellent and it has my backing.

No! I will defend Mr. Vicodin against any attack whatsoever!

Looked at my post before, and wanted to clarify. The characterization in Teddy House is suprisingly good, given that it's a story about House being a teddy bear.
On the other hand, given that it's Alex, it's hardly surprising at all. In-character fun AU fics are a trademark of Alex's.

I think there is a difference between saying "please read what I wrote" and "I found something good I want to share with you."
Even if you're not well known yet, if you post to any of the major communities (housefic, house_wilson, etc.), some people will sample it and, if they like it, will rec it to others.
I am clueless as to how people like Alex, who didn't cross-post initially, get discovered. In that case, Sheep found Breakfast with Wilson and recommended it at the other place. For others, ???
And I wish I had something to rec so I could get this thread back on target, but I haven't had time to read much for the last couple of weeks.

Thanks for the clarification and the endorsement! I wonder what would happen if someone MST'ed it, though. I guess I'm curious now. That, or creatively suicidal...

Poeia, I'm going to take that question over to the fic discussion thread, IMO a lot of folks will find that interesting to discuss.
A rec -

Also, Anamatic has a new fic up - has anyone read this yet? (its on my hit list for this weekend) & has anyone invited her to join us?

We once had a MST yourself fest over at House_MST. It was good fun.
Tidey has somehow sneakily added buckets to A Long Slow Fade while I wasn't looking. This is a gripping Medium/House crossover: I've always had quite a liking for Alison and her long suffering husband.
Creepy and supernatural themes, gen, PG recommended.

Sheep: Thanks for reccing my story "A Long Slow Fade". It is an honor getting the nod from my fave House horrormeister. *bows low*
