Nomad1328 has something interesting going, House wakes up on the floor of an exam room with no idea what happened, and his memory screwed up thanks to the head injury. Writing lifts it above the typical "sick House" fic, showing both a strong House voice balanced with the confusion from the injury, with lines like: "time leaping around like a one-legged cricket."
