Oh, yes. Corgigirl just did another one of those things she does. Everything After is so completely in character that I could see it playing out exactly this way on the show, if the show ever chooses to tread into this territory. Except they probably wouldn't write it this well. It's incredible. Go read.

Yeah - aen's right - the last bit is so uplifting and sweet it makes you melt.

Yeah - aen's right - the last bit is so uplifting and sweet it makes you melt. I got a new nickname! From Sheep! (runs around happily in circles) And I'm off-topic. (mod-slaps self)

Yeah - aen's right - the last bit is so uplifting and sweet it makes you melt. Ah! That's what it is. It's melt-water that's leaking out of my eyes and won't seem to stop. Seriously gorgeous, powerfully moving piece of writing.

Yeah - aen's right - the last bit is so uplifting and sweet it makes you melt. I got a new nickname! From Sheep! (runs around happily in circles) And I'm off-topic. (mod-slaps self) Heeee. And I got a mental picture of a sheep from someone's avatar (complete with fuschia sweater) running happily in circles. and I really am :off topic:

Julesisfire, one my personal favourites, wrote another piece of beauty. I love it so much. Physiology, Light R, House/Wilson.

Doing the reading catchup thing, umpteening Asynca's Ride & Corgigirl's Everything After. Recing a new fic by elicia8, plotless, & more an evocation of a time of year & a situation. Title: September http://elicia8.livejournal.com/156159.html Pairing: House/Wilson Rating: mild R Summary: Wilson contemplates the weather, his life, and his new living arrangements. ETA - I can't believe I'm doing this ;D Fic from Cameron's POV that I rather like, Cameron's confusion/ambivalence feels realistic. I'm looking forward to part 2. Title: Shalott (1/2) http://ohno-fairies.livejournal.com/8674.html Character/Pairing: Cameron, implied House/Cameron, Chase/Cameron Rating: The author says R, I'm more inclined to say PG13 for some references to sex Summary: If you want him, go and get him. If you need him, go and claim him (This is from an author I'm not familiar with.)

Fic Name: Lost And Found Link: http://deelaundry.livejournal.com/74006.html Author: DeeLaundry Rating: PG Characters: House, Wilson, gen. Summary: House finds out why Wilson's depressed; he does what he can to help. Why I'm Reccing This: I like stories where House shows, often in wildly inappropriate ways, that he cares for Wilson. Dee shows something deep and meaningful in her House characterization in that he would choose to pursue something unrelentingly if it's for Wilson, even if Wilson doesn't appreciate it at first and House can't do more than what he does at the last. ETA: Thought I'd try bolding author and title, in case they're easy to miss.

Check out Dee's new story Lost and Found. A very nice House-Wilson friendship story. PG, House gets intrigued by a Wilson puzzle & Wilson gets something special. A little sad and bittersweet but a very nice feel for both House and Wilson. Edited because I messed up the link.

Seconding September. There are some really beautiful images there.

Hey, remember where we were talking about Cameron stories that don't revolve around her love life? This isn't one of those. Oh, well. It's Shalott, by maypirate. Chase/Cameron, R-rating. Basically, it's a look at Cameron coming 'round to the idea of getting back together with Chase at the end of S3. It's not clear to me if she's ignoring the Tuesdays situation, or if this was supposed to happen before that. I like this, though, because I think it captures a certain blend of edginess and loneliness that Cameron periodically seems to express, and doesn't woobie-ize Chase. (Well, not much, and the sole instant where it does is rather amusing.) ETA: Darn it, saara_zaara beat me to it. *shakes tiny fist*

ellixian's "but when the music started" is a lovely story about the times in her life when Cuddy has danced. Every character voice in it is strong, but her Cuddy is particularly wonderful. And there are two new sections of "Aftershocks" up: Downtime and Thread The first is set after "Toxins," when they've returned home again, and the second has just fabulous House-Cuddy interaction. And thanks for all the recs and kind words about "Everything After." I'm honored.

Fic Name: Three Dreams Stacy Had That Didn't Come True Author: Roga Pairing/Rating: House/Stacy, PG-13. Summary: Three stories: three futures. Oh, you guys. Oh guys. I was so in the mood for this story tonight, and it was perfect, it hurt in the good way. Last time I read it, I was feeling analytical; this time I was really in the moment, and I really *felt* it. It's an older story, but why not reread it? It's one that deserves it. Stacy dreams of the future, and every dream is different.

blackmare- 09-05-2007

Ohhhh yes. I will heartily second Three Dreams. It's one of those that has stayed lodged in my head for months -- there is one scene in particular that comes back to haunt my thoughts over and over. Safe for all, a heartbreaking, beautiful and (I thought) very IC look at Stacy's hopes and fears concerning House.

Another rec, of a new Cuddy-centric story: Ad Perpetuam Memoriam by sangria_lila. The title translates to "in continuing memory," and that's very appropriate for this lushly lovely look at Cuddy, alone with her thoughts in the rain.
