Dr Scruffy is back after an absence that has been entirely to long Dr Scruffy Returns

DIY Sheep- 02-13-2009

Ha! Thanks for the rec MO. Doctor Scruff has been off exploring foreign places, climbing Mt Everest (it took me a long time to coax him down) and making rude comments. I also wanted to remind people of the Big Bang festival comming up: Both stories and art. Tragically Doctor Scruffy could not participate as he has badly drawn hands and hasl trouble typing, but I have had a bit of sneak peak and it looks like readers will be in for a 'lock yourself in a room, turn the phone off the hook and read' treat. Keep an eye out for it.

Seconding Sheep's comment about upcoming Big Bang. REaders are in a for a treat (just based on some sneak previews). .http://community.livejournal.com/house_bigbang/ Also seconding the whole Black_Cigarette enterprise. These are some of the best writers in the whole House fic universe, and working together, well, the sum is even better than the parts. If you've had reservations (I don't know why; because it's AU? because it's gen?), get over them and go read what they're doing.Link to the Distress Call series: http://black-cigarette.livejournal.com/47299.html#cutid1 Edited to add links

Thanks so much, maineac. We said we only had three Distress Call chapters to post this week, but we ended up with a fourth which we posted today. Just an FYI for those who are watching. It'll be a while before we post the next part of the story, but we're already working on it and having a blast.

Here's a lovely new fic from Pwcorgigirl, Chase-centric (featuring Cameron) and focusing on the lingering strangeness of a new land and recent (real) events in Australia. Measure the Span of the Stars

Exigencies is back with Chapter 35. House meets someone whose name should be familiar to everyone.

RachelSue- 02-14-2009
thanks!
Thanks! I've been checking Exigencies about...once a day since December. So I'm glad you've posted it here. (Scurries off to read).

Ruby Took has a new part of her Werewolf Saga AU. With Our Eyes Upon the Moon 1/11. It carries the timeline of this AU forward some years in continuing House & Wilson's lives.

Exigencies is back with Chapter 35. House meets someone whose name should be familiar to everyone. And a big hallelujah! So glad to have another chapter of this great saga.

Eos has written a fantastic sequel to her House/Cuddy/Wilson fic, And Baby Makes Four. The sequel is called Full House. House, Cuddy and Wilson now have two kids between them and while that premise may sound implausible to some, Eos has managed to make it a completely believable set up. Sharp, snappy dialogue and fantastically IC. A really enjoyable read.

Corgigirl- 02-15-2009

joe_pike_junior has a marvelous alternate universe story of one way Cuddy meets House. The Tangent Universe is the first of what looks to be a series of stories in which House, Cuddy and Wilson's lives have diverged somewhat from what we see on screen. (And many thanks for the recs of "Grounded" and "Measure the Span of the Stars." It's always an honor to be recced here.)

Deelaundry has given us a very realistic, sorrowful look at how Wilson might have gone from Point A (Amber's death) to Point B (quitting both his job and his best friend) with her short, sharply-focused Leave. Gen, she rates it PG-13. I find its insights remarkable. Much love.

misanthropicobs- 02-17-2009

Dominus Trinus is back with a new part of her daemonverse, Appraisals and Appointments. This section deals with Chase's interview. Edited because I can't spell this morning.

Corgigirl- 02-17-2009

Remember House's throwaway line to Wilson about Wife #1 having a wooden leg? Karaokegal did, and she's written a brilliant piece that uses that bit of information. The Devil Makes Three is set pre-infarction, during a period in which Stacy wants House's new friend off their couch. (There is femslash, but it's not explicit at all and is crucial to the story.)

hmm
Hey all, this is an odd request... I remember a line from a Housefic where a character says (in reference to urging the other character to see a psychiatrist), "Talking. Talking is better than thinking." Any idea what this fic is? It's amazing how talented the writers are in this fic-universe. This line has been bugging me no end for weeks now. Thanks!
