Strongest possible second for the new chapter of "Eden Sank to Grief." Like its characters, "June 1997" is smart, funny, and loving, along with the aforementioned hotness.
Seconding ducks_in_a_row's latest. *giggle* Wonderful, just wonderful.

Thanks so much for the recs, OldHamster and Corgigirl!
Three hurrahs for ducks_in_a_row's fic! I haven't read anything so hilarious in a while. Laugh out loud stuff, here.

OK, even if you think you hate Hameron fics, please read "In Her Time of Need" by blueheronz. Alternate take on Cameron's HIV scare/meth high in which she seeks out House instead of Chase.
It's an absolutely breathtaking piece of writing. No actual sex, but very hot, and not schmoopy. Just read it, mmkay?

Lagniappe: I completely second what you said about reccing new or obscure writers. That's really why I come here.
Lagniappe, I'm going to rec a House/OFC fic, even though I'm not sure about it's quality. I would actually really like to hear other people's opinions about it.... The OFC is a modern dancer, and I think some of the issues the authors raises wrt how a crippled House views a relationship with a partner whose very being is based on physicality, movement, and athleticism is interesting.
Dancers
And I want to thank Misere for the Dancers (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1346665/menme) rec: I read it in one fell swoop and completely loved it. If your criterion for good fic is "well written," have no fears. Yes, the OFC is a bit of a Peggy Sue, but she's a believable Peggy Sue, because the writer's a good writer.
It always saddens me to think that people might be avoiding good fic because they get 'shipper' or 'genre' tunnel vision. Good fic is good fic. </rant>

You're welcome, maineac.
Yes, the OFC is a bit of a Peggy Sue, but she's a believable Peggy Sue, because the writer's a good writer.
This is exactly the reason why I qualified my rec and hesitated to even post about it. I was completely riveted by the story, and the OFC character didn't bother me at all because the writing was excellent, but I knew that many readers have a huge aversion to OFCs and the slightest hint of Mary Sue-ness.

A nice, short and simple House-Wilson friendship piece in the Pit of all places: Nothing Speaks Louder.
Thelonegunwoman has posted chapter 3 of her latest story Fantasies Come True. Only Wilson could make turning into a dragon dull. Click on her tag to get parts 1 & 2.
