*tilts head* Bowel movement as a central plot in a fic....that's...wow, and I thought I'd seen it all.

deelaundry- 08-17-2007

And it's good! Non-sensational, non-gratuitous, appropriately dramatic. Seconding the rec, obviously, for Ticcy's Turn Off the Night

blackmare- 08-17-2007

Yes. Turn Off The Night is a brutal, unflinching read -- it's a difficult thing, and I have to strongly third the rec. It's excellent.

JenButterfly- 08-17-2007

I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of a bowel movement fic. I started reading it too, but got distracted by my kitty.

Lully- 08-17-2007

Turn Off the Night has a sequel Close Your Weary Eyes Both outstanding fics. http://cryptictac.livejournal.com/206276.html It's from Wilson POV. Rating Mature.

daisylily- 08-17-2007

*adds whatever number we're at now to rec for Turn Off the Night and Close Your Weary Eyes* Yes, it centres around a bowel movement (and as I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome I found it extremely realistic) but it's much more about the H/W relationship than it is about poo. And I haven't read anything of Ticcy's that I haven't liked. I love her realism. Two more of hers that I love: The Art of Proctology http://cryptictac.livejournal.com/173159.html Channel Surfing http://cryptictac.livejournal.com/150381.html which is an antidote to all the 'perfect sex' fics out there (not that there's anything wrong with those :D)

DIY Sheep- 08-17-2007

Ticcy's enema story is proof that you can take any subject and make it moving. I'm sorry. I had too.

JenButterfly- 08-17-2007

It's OK, Sheep. Somebody needed to say it.

extra_cat- 08-17-2007

JenButterfly has a new fic called Fish Out of Water. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3729457/1/A_Fish_Out_Of_Water spoilerish summary: Chase has some kind of head injury and amnesia and before anyone groans about "fan fic cliches," I'm sure she will make it work beautifully.

JenButterfly- 08-17-2007

I heart you extra_cat *hugtackles and smothers with hugs because she's in a very hugging mood* And I promise you that it isn't cliche!! ETA: Because a billion things went wrong while trying to fix one word in this.

extra_cat- 08-17-2007

I have the utmost faith that it won't be! I think you're the first writer I ever "favorited"! :)

Taiga- 08-17-2007

pwcorgigirl has written crack! Read her Walter Mitty story here: http://pwcorgigirl.livejournal.com/130177.html#cutid1 Spoiler comment for the story: Love that Wilson is a rabbit, I always associated that character with Harvey the invisible eight-foot-tall white rabbit in the Jimmy Stewart movie of the same name.

misanthropicobs- 08-17-2007

I'm to late, was going to recce Pwcorgigirl's la-*test*-('") story but Taiga beat me to it so I'll strongly second instead. Had me laughing at the descriptions almost from the beginning.

Corgigirl- 08-18-2007

Thank you! And Taiga gets points for catching the influence on Wilson's appearance. Wilson's an old movie buff, so it just fit him.

misanthropicobs- 08-18-2007

Was reading this again this morning and realized how much I liked it the first time so for those of you who missed it the earlier Down a Dark Hole. It's a two parter by Genagirl House & Foreman in a dark place, but ultimately House Wilson friendship but definitely with slash glasses.
