Yes. Turn Off The Night is a brutal, unflinching read -- it's a difficult thing, and I have to strongly third the rec. It's excellent.

And I haven't read anything of Ticcy's that I haven't liked. I love her realism. Was reading this again this morning and realized how much I liked it the first time so for those of you who missed it the earlier Down a Dark Hole. It's a two parter by Genagirl House & Foreman in a dark place, but ultimately House Wilson friendship but definitely with slash glasses.
