Am I the only one who gets a Final Destination feel about his death?
I know what you mean. He survived that plane crash, finally recovered from the burns and this happens. It weirded me out when I heard the news.

If he turns out that he threw away a second chance on drugs? Weird isn't the word I'd use.
Oh I agree. "Stupid" would be more appropriate.
RSH, that's what I thought.
Survivor's guilt?
That's what I was thinking. It's sad regardless, from the viewpoint of an outsider watching someone just destruct like that, but it's especially sad to think of what the entire experience did to him mentally. I was surprised by how sad it made me to hear that he died considering that I hadn't been especially invested in him while he was alive.
He wasn't someone I knew much about, other than as a plane crash survivor. It seems likely that the combination of the pain (physical and emotional) and the pain pills (which, from what I understand he wouldn't have taken under normal circumstances) could have pushed him over the edge.
It is sad.
Anyone else watching Teddy Kennedy's funeral mass? It's fascinating to see all of those Kennedys. It's rare a family all looks that much alike.
Here's a look back at the
Summer of Death
Assuming you want to look back on that.
I love the random bullshit polls that Popeater litters their pages with. My fave on this one is the bit about what social networking site you used to discuss the various celeb deaths. Awesome.
Yeah, he's one of those people who seemed eternal.
