I tried to post this earlier from my Blackberry, but I see it didn't come through.
Two deaths to report: Doug Feiger of The Knack and Sci-fi writer Kage Baker have both passed due to cancer. :-(
The Knack were seemed like they would be eternally young. Probably has something to do with how their big hit was so unquestionably about a relationship with jailbait. Sad.
And don't forget "Good Girls Don't!"
Doug Feiger was also a nice guy. Loved them.
I'm currently reading Kage Baker's In the Gardens of Iden. I just discovered her work right before she died. So sad.
Marie Osmond's son commits suicide.
I'm beginning to think that T.S. Eliot was wrong.
February is the cruelest month.
Oh man, 18 years old. That's so sad. Also, Andrew Koenig. Another sad story. :-(
Poor Andrew Koenig, and I feel so bad for his family. There's a Sondheim song with a competely different context, "Every Day A Little Death," that's been popping into my head every time I see the news.
That's so damn sad. I saw posts about his death a lot today. He touched a lot of people, too bad nothing could reach him.
TMZ is reporting that
Corey Haim is dead of a drug overdose. (They're citing LAPD, so ...)
What a waste.
That's sad, but I can't say I'm shocked. Poor guy.
Well, three out of four above (I'm a bit too young to have watched the Fearsome Foursome in action) and as the FTD dude. I'm pretty sure I first remember him as a commentator (I'm a non-football watcher from a family of football watchers and it was always on in my house.
Here we go. Now we never have to miss another death again.
