No, You Were the Wife: Torchwood (UK-Pace)
Well, as I'm a Whovian, I have to ask: What does everyone wish for in the new season of Torchwood? To start: More character development, fewer cyberized girlfriends.

BBC America has announced (via commercial) that S3 of Doctor Who will premiere on January 26, the same night as the S2 premiere of Torchwood.

sautomne- 12-24-2007

I'm glad that we're getting Torchwood so soon. I'm surprised that BBCA waited so long to air S3 of Doctor Who. I think it would help to see the Jack episodes before watching the new season of Torchwood.

Hail the Random- 12-25-2007

I'm good with the less cyberized girlfriends. *nods*

Well, as I'm a Whovian, I have to ask: What does everyone wish for in the new season of Torchwood? To start: More character development, fewer cyberized girlfriends. Right now I'll be happy just to see the rest of the first season of Torchwood. I don't get BBC America (and refuse to pay the cable company another $30 a month just to get one more desired channel) but luckily CBC has been running it, and we live close enough to the border to get CBC. Unfortunatley, it's been pre-empted for three weeks now for the holiday specials, and we've got another four or so left to air. Dangit.

Lots of Martha kicking ass. And Jack looking pretty. And my first television crush (Spike) to be awesome. Um, that's pretty much all I ask for in Torchwood. *g*

Loss of slash goggles is a good thing. DW/TW really has that going for it. I like Tapping, but she can be a powerful force on screen, and can overshadow everything else. I like her in Sanctuary, but it's almost too much of her. I really liked Weir on the show, or what I've seen of it, it really gives another dimension to it.

sautomne- 01-02-2008

There's a new Torchwood promo up at Freema Agyeman.com! Here! It looks awesome AND there is a SPOILER -->Jack/Ianto kiss that looks very hot! Bring on the slash!<--SPOILER

Ranee- 01-02-2008

SPOILER -> Jack snogging anyone is always good! But I rather like Gwen's blase "Have you see a blowfish driving a sports car?" <-SPOILER

arizonamyrie- 01-02-2008

And Rhys' line: Aliens? In Cardiff?<-- You're totally right too Ranee about Gwen's line. So blase! She's taking it for granted now. And who was tied up to the examining table? It looked like Freema Agyeman a bit. Was that her? Why is she tied up?<--

sautomne- 01-02-2008

AZ, it's -->Freema tied up to the exam table. That scene has been in one of the other promos.<-- I can't wait 'til Rhys -->finds out about Torchwood!<--

407- 01-03-2008

I can't wait 'til Rhys -->finds out about Torchwood!<-- Certainly about time, isn't it? Would you look at me, delurking and everything.

Torchwood spoilers from The Watcher in today's Tribune SPOILER ->The return of sexy space adventures: In its first season, BBC America's "Torchwood" established itself as a smart and cheeky genre series that was often just as good (or even better than) "Doctor Who," the British series that spun it off. Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) returns with a new batch of adventures 8 p.m. Jan. 26, and the Season 2 premiere is quite a treat for "Torchwood" fans. Sparks will fly when James Marsters (Spike on "Buffy") guest stars as rogue Time Agent Captain John Hart, who has a history with Captain Jack. They also share a very strong attraction, despite Hart's somewhat unattractive psychopathic tendencies. "There's a scene between he and Jack when they first meet, all I'll say is, this scene is so hot," Barrowman said in a 2007 interview (now that I've seen the scene, Barrowman wasn't kidding. Yowza!). There's also good news for fans of Martha Jones, the Doctor's former sidekick on "Doctor Who": Jones (Freema Agyman) guest stars on three episodes of "Torchwood's" second season.<- SPOILER Since I'm a huge James Marsters fan, I can't wait ;D
