The other Mods got me turned on to Torchwood(shut up). You realize I wouldn't have caught that unless you said to "shut up." Right? And I'm really enjoying the knowledge of Wales and Cardiff I'm gaining from this show. Did you all know that Eve Myles has advertised a t-shirt for I Love Cardiff? A travel site for the city. She's totally rockin' the look. (and the link has audio just to forwarn you)

Okay, us mods were discussing this, but I think we should assume this thread to be US-paced. We haven't actually mentioned whether we're following the US or UK times, so for now, we'll assume US. I know some people want to stay spoiler-free, the rest of us have other means. What this means: If it hasn't yet aired in the US, or it is a spoiler, put it in the white text. If it has aired in the US, use normal colored font.

I watch for Jack, Ianto, Tosh, Owen, Gwen(sometimes), various weapons, aliens who look almost but not quite realistic, Welsh accents, and the occasional Doctor Who reference. In other words, everything. Oh. I was going to say I watch it because of teh pretty. And also because of later in the season with Martha Jones. She's pretty awesome.

I thought the song was a little obvious to use in that scene. For the longest time when that song first came out it was used as advertiser/broadcast 'shorthand' for "high energy" in commercials, sporting events, tv show, etc. You couldn't turn on the tv for hearing it. I just realized that album came out in 1999. I guess using it is retro now? ;-)

I have to say that two episodes into the new season Ianto finally has a personality. At least I'm seeing one now where there wasn't much of one before, personally. I know he's been a fan favorite, but he never did anything for me before. Now? He's making me laugh.

I particularly loved the line from Sleeper:"And I thought the end of the world couldn't get any worse". I loved Ianto from the beginning, but yeah, definetly better this season You lot in this thread,you should be proud:you managed to get me hooked with Torchwood. Thank you ever so much! :wink:
