Crap! okay, so in all fairness it's a glass half-empty/half-full kind of thing, but I'm having a really bad day, so it's mostly-empty... ETA - spoilers ahoy!

fffaw- 06-03-2008

Aw, crap! That sucks, but yeah, it's half and half.

arizonamyrie- 06-03-2008

Okay, I realized that the article itself is a spoiler, but... I'm glad we're getting S3, even if it hasn't been announced by the Beeb yet (but TV Guide is reliable enough). I'm glad the coffee is kicking in. And I'm glad that JB is returning. And why would people think he wasn't? This is how he's really made a name for himself. I'm just pissed about it only being five hours long total. I mean, why? This is our only DW brand for the year 2009, aside from those UK specials. I doubt the US is going to get any of it without a fight. <---

Buddy of mine on the TVdotcom forums got an email from the beeb regarding this. I emailed the guys at the bbc about torchwood and was told that anything i have heard about the 5 episodes stuff and John being busy doing other things to do more than 5 is rubbish and should not believe anything i read on the internet So perhaps TV guide has been misinformed or my buddy has been misinformed. What I've heard is that they're definitely slated to do 5, maybe more to come. Someone else said that there would definitely be thirteen but failed to state their sources. *lesigh* According to somebody else we'll find out when DW finishes se4. Gah, this is making my head hurt. On a different note, has anybody read any of the books? I've heard they're good (especially Twilight Streets).

I have the audio book for "Another Life," which is read by John Barrowman. What I liked with it is everyone was in character, and you felt as if you were in the actual physical environments they were describing. What I didn't care for was it seemed to be cut down a bit, or at least lacking in descriptions somewhat. But my experiences with a lot of audio books is that they are abridged. I do want to know more about the other audio books read by the cast. I know I have the Doctor Who ones read by David Tennant, who does all the voices differently for each character (I'd recommend "The Stone Rose" for any Ten/Rose shippers out there who don't know about it). I'll have to check out "Twilight Streets." I'm in the car a lot, and love audio books for commuting. ETA - Seasons 1 and 2 of TW are available for legal download via iTunes. And I saw on there that the audio book for "Another Life" is abridged.

Folks may not have seen this (registration is free) - article on Russell T Davies & the revamping of British TV. Who, Torchwood et al

arizonamyrie- 06-15-2008

Also in RTD new... Russel T Davies included in Birthday Honours and awarded OBE. This is really cool as Hugh Laurie received this a few years ago as well.

On a different note, has anybody read any of the books? I've heard they're good (especially Twilight Streets). I've got all the books (and the audio ones). I'm slowly working my way through them. What I've read is quite good. I'm just about to start in on The Stone Rose for my commute.

arizonamyrie- 06-16-2008

Fiddy - "The Stone Rose" is very Rose/Ten shippy, if that's your thing (it's mine, so I know that for a fact). I know the negative criticism came about it only due to that fact.

I have been looking for them for months, but the library doesn't have any.

arizonamyrie- 06-16-2008

I got mine through iTunes, legally. However, HTR, check your e-mail.

Everything I love about S2, in a fanvid! I Lost my Heart to Captain Jack. Or at least what I love about Jack...

sautomne- 06-30-2008

Torchwood Season Two Outtakes I love Barrowman, but sometimes his laugh scares the crap out of me.
