That was sad! Tosh died! My Tosh died! And Owen died! And Gray died! And loads of people died! And it was sad! I'm going to take AZ's advice and go eat a lot of ice cream. ;)

Um, the same place I saw Torchwood. Maybe you'll have to wait a little bit. Or watch the S3 opener again (Smith and Jones). Maybe ice cream is easier.

Argh. I finally got around to watching the finale and I wept like a baby. NM knocked it out of the ballpark and BG's little whispered "Oh G-d." at the end was heartbreaking. WAHHHHH! Yeah, the guy who played Gray kinda sucked. He really took me out of the moment. I'm really glad that Captain John turned out to be a good guy after all.

You expected someone who could fall in love with a poodle to be bad??? That line still makes me laugh. I love Eve Myles' delivery on that line: "That's a poodle!" and she sounds so rushed and pissed off about it (as she has every right to be.) It's just so... funny. *g*

I was planning to watch DW last night, but I got called away from my happy tv viewing to deal with something and didn't have time. It's on tap for tonight if I get home at a reasonable hour. I need an antidote to all that boo hooing!

I was reading the hilarious weekly TW recap on http://www.afterelton.com and they had this to say about Fragments: So I’m pretty surprised when the counting just continues to 00 and we see the building go BLAMMO! For a second, it makes me wonder if maybe Torchwood is going to clean house the way they did on House, so that next season Jack will have an all-new team, providing us with a whole new range of character inconsistencies and idiosyncrasies to blog and bitch about. Hee!

Oh the afterelton.com recaps are a must! They brighten up my Monday mornings. Their intense hatred of Gwen is amusing. Even I don't dislike her that much!

I've been avoiding this thread like the plague since I'm even slower than U.S.-paced; I usually have to wait until the weekend to watch my DVR'd television. But now that I'm all caught up with Torchwood, the season's over and no-one's really talking about it anymore. So now I'll be avoiding the Doctor Who thread, as I am also slightly-behind-U.S.-pace on that as well. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to add that I thoroughly enjoyed the Jack/Ianto scenes of last season, and made liberal use of the rewind button to watch certain scenes again and again and again... I am enchanted by Jack/Ianto, mostly because Gareth David-Lloyd's my favorite actor on the show, but I'm quite fond of John Barrowman as well. Actually, I like all of the characters/actors, even Gwen, and I'm sorry that Owen and Tosh are gone; I felt as if I was finally getting to know their characters and now they're dead. I also liked the finale quite a bit - though it's hard for me to suddenly see Captain John as a good guy. I want to, but there's the small problem of him murdering Jack in KKBB before he knew about Jack's immortality. So is he on a Murderers' Anoymous clean streak? I look forward to seeing more of him in Season 3. But I mostly wanted to squee about Jack/Ianto... *squees*
