It's really hard for me to catch SciFi ever, especially Friday nights (so you know how I see my DW). But sauty, the eps I've seen, I've loved - I just never get a chance to watch it. I barely get time to watch House, TW, or DW even. I watched parts of Wednesday's TW, but that's it - I have last night's but I haven't had a chance to see it.

I know. Friday night is a bad TV night for me too. I haven't done Friday night TV since the X-files. I generally watch Doctor Who while it's airing in the UK. If I watch it on Sci-fi, it's usually a repeat. I've only just seen SGA because I acquired some of the episodes through nefarious means.
Do the new seasons of Who air on Sci-fi before they air on the BBCA?

Oh filey, I can't wait until you see episode twelve, Captain Jack Harkness. Your slash-loving heart will explode.
Have you been able to watch any of S2 on BBCA?
Sauty, Unfortunately my temporary, yet long term, reassigned residence is currently in NJ and BBCA is not one of my viewing options (Damn you to hell Cablevision Monkeys!). I have scene clips of the CJH episodes (Jack/Jack dance & kiss, aww & yum) I hope to get to it by next weekend.
I've seen Jack/Ianto clips from all of S2 thru #12 on YT and a few LJ sites. Loved their kiss in S2x03 LBM.
Also just seen S2x11 Adrift and all I can say is those are some Greenhouse effects I can completely get behind. :D
I'll have to wait for S2 DVD to see complete episodes. It's scheduled for release in the UK 6/2 so I suspect it will release in the US about month later if it goes like S1 did. They'll be no hesitating on my part this time I've already signed up for the Amazon alert to pre-order.

Yes. SciFi is going to be two weeks behind the BBC (UK) airing by the sounds of it. Who knows though when BBCA will get it - they are still airing S3 of DW.

Hee! Apparently, so can Jack.

So has anyone here watched episode 12 yet? I think it was on last night. I'm visiting relatives this weekend so I haven't seen it, but LJ is buzzing with everyone's reaction.
Yes. MY GOD it was good. So much so that I am still on a high from it... two days later. I never thought Torchwood would reach awesomeness levels that surpass Doctor Who's but they did. That's all I'm saying about that. :X

I have still not watched Episode 12 yet. I must get my act together and do that ASAP.
sautomne- 03-24-2008
I haven't even visited The Special Place to get the episode yet. I don't know why. I've just felt very lukewarm about the past few episodes (with the exception of Adrift).

This one is worth it. But, if you do want to wait a few days to keep it one episode per week you might want to as the next one is April 4th on BBC2 - they're not even showing the finale on BBC3.
And I can't believe there's only one episode left.

Hey guys. Rebmember that spoiler that Jack was leaving Torchwood, but would make occasional guest appearances? I thought of a (highly unlikely) reason for it. If, for some reason, we happen to lose TEN, the 11th doctor could be regenerated as a female or a gay(I know Time Lords are supposed to be asexual, work with me here) and since UST is a good thing(usually), Jack could be the new Doctor's companion. It would explain the not being there and the occasional visits, like Rose did.
And I'm only up to early S2 on my Doctor Who, so feel free to point out continuity flaws in my theory. But don't point out any other flaws.

HTR - the only thing I see is that DT is penned to be in all of S4, and supposedly the three specials that are scheduled for 2009. However, Jack IS in the last few eps of S4, along with Rose and a bunch of other people. Now, the three specials are all speculation right now, but it sounds as if Rose will be searching for the Doctor throughout those specials. If Jack were to leave Torchwood, it would only be for the Doctor, and even then, probably to find him. But, rumor also has it that the Master returns as well in some capacity. So, I'm pretty sure that Jack will be busy with the Doctor for awhile.

It was just a thought that appeared on a car ride. A very unlikely idea.
arizonamyrie- 03-24-2008
I remember reading a fanfic once where the Doctor regenerated into his last body - which was Jack. So he used the Chameleon Arch (S3 - Human Nature) and became human. Jack's missing two years were part of the backstory created by the TARDIS for him.<-- Still plausible.

The Jack flashback made me laugh. Evil Bisexual Victorian Torchwood people FTW. :D
The Tosh flashback makes me sad.
The Ianto flashback is making me cringe.

Our dear Mr. Barrowman guest starred on Hotel Babylon this week. I haven't seen the episode, but there is an amusing clip up on the Tube of U.
Here it is!
