I'm pretty sure that after that, though, the Beeb will stop the BBC3 preview episodes, so we may have to wait an extra week for a new ep *wibble* NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! :crying: Is it bad that one of the first things I thought of when I woke up this morning was, "Torchwood Day!" I'm a thirty-two year old woman. I need not be so obsessed. I blame it on the charismatic dude with the shiny chiclet teeth. :shifty: I'm looking forward to seeing Jack's angst over Owen. It could either be really cheesy or so amazing that I start to ship Jack/Owen. Ten bucks says it'll be cheesy. Any takers?

I wouldn't dream of taking that bet. I'm sure I'd lose. ;-) So I'm confused. Are there two episodes tonight or just one?

puppetangel- 02-20-2008

That has to be the scariest episode of Torchwood I have seen. I'm still confused as to what happened with Martha and the Weevils connections to the Glove. Poor Owen losing the 3 things he loves best- sleeping, drinking and shagging. So is he like a vampire now without the drinking blood?

fffaw- 02-20-2008

Note to self: avoid thread until you can get home and get episode through nefarious means. :-(

sautomne- 02-20-2008

Ahhh! I still haven't got the torrent yet! But I knew the glove was coming back. This thread is UK paced but most of us are in the US. We won't see the episode until some lovely British fairy godmother makes it accessible to us.

fffaw- 02-20-2008

Try our special place, sauty. I bet its on there already.

puppetangel- 02-20-2008

You wont be dissapointed- its a great episode and the preview for next week is like WTF?

arizonamyrie- 02-20-2008

...some lovely British fairy godmother... And the sad part is, I know that said British fairy godmother is sitting at her computer laughing at us right now because she (aka: 407) is in the UK and suffers the lagtime for House. EZTV has theirs up and running. Join me, so we can seed together! (and yes, that just sounds wrong). So, from what I'm seeing here, Owen gets resurrected by the risen mitten, and actually turns into the Weevil King as predicted at the end of "Combat?" And now can't shag, drink, or sleep (but does he still whine and complain)? What a pathetic existence!

I've seen the episode. I got it from my "special place". That sounds a bit dirtier than I intended. This episode is fabulous. It occurred to me, after I finished watching, that I spent the whole time on the edge of my seat (even though I was a bit spoiled) and not once did I have a WTF! moment. Generally I have at least one WTF! moment an episode. And it's usually because of something that Gwen does. Jack knows a kiddie cartomancer. Hee! AND he has his own tarot card. I loved watching him angst over Owen. Also loved the scene where he was trying to quietly walk through the nest of Weevils. Jack and Owen in a jail cell! Evil Dead Risen Mitten! Ianto with a hockey stick! Jack looking a him like, "WTF are ya gonna do with that?" Maybe I should go now and come back when I can form complete sentences. edited twice for spelling

I got it from my "special place". That sounds a bit dirtier than I intended. Well, this is Torchwood we're talking about here. And besides, I talked about seeding with other people.

fffaw- 02-20-2008

Great episode - I was biting my nails with the tension. Next week looks amazing!

arizonamyrie- 02-20-2008

Holy Canoodle!!! I hid under the covers in that one scene! There I am, relaxing, about to fall asleep when... the scene! Shit! I'm awake now! ETA - The angels in DW's "Blink" didn't even do that to me. I'm not wearing gloves for awhile.

407- 02-21-2008

Are my ears burning? And yes, I have absolutely no sympathy for you guys having to wait for TW - if only because you're behind us, which means that you can get access to each episode only a couple of hours after we do, without having to stay up all night *grumble grumble* But seriously, that episode filled my creepy-quota quite sufficiently for the rest of the, well, year. It was both absolutely terrifying and incredibly insane. Literally, one of the most bonkers episodes ever. In a good way. Because it really was fantastic. I loved, loved, loved the jail scene between Jack and Owen (even if it made my TW buddy become a Jack/Owen shipper *shudder*). Also - the hockey stick moment!!! HEE! Of course, next weeks episode looks even better. Not just zombie!Owen - evil zombie!Owen. Can't wait.

arizonamyrie- 02-21-2008

Yeah, everyone kept saying that DW's "Blink" was scary - this surpassed it in every which way. No wonder I slept horribly last night. Like I said upstream, just as I was about to fall asleep, GLOVE!!! I think I had all I could do to keep from screaming at that point. I know my headphones were thrown off. Of course, I watched that scene about five more times after that. Like Sam's car accident in Life on Mars - you know it's going to happen, but you still jump when it does. The only thing that was hard for me to take was Owen rationalizing being a zombie. "This could be the last time I feel the bricks." No, not really Owen. You're "alive" in a similar way that Jack is "alive." Neither of you die. Just, Owen, your heart *isn't* beating.

John Barrowman was a guest on Al Murray's Happy Hour this weekend. Someone kindly posted clips on the Tube of U. Part 1 Part 2 I highly recommend watching them. I nearly peed my pants laughing. JB looks oh so sexy wearing Al Murray's undies. I think JB is the one who was about to piss himself!
