-->I haven't watched the episode yet, but has Noel Clark written anything for S2? Or even brought in for the King of the Sleeze/Weevil idea? And how much do you want to bet that it has something to do with the Gwen being pregnant at her wedding and Jack bringing Martha in storyline?<--
Gwen is pregnant? Is it human or alien like Cordelia on Angel?
According to Wiki Noel Clark is not involved in writing for any episode in season 2.

Well, it's just a spoiler, and seeing the sixth episode changed some of the spoilers. I first read that Martha was supposed to come to Torchwood because Jack called her for help with an alien baby. Well, after last night's episode, she came from UNIT (not what was expected) because of people dying and having their medical records erased. Which, aside from the directing and how stuff was pasted together, I liked. And I couldn't really find much fault in the first of the two.. I'll have to go back and rewatch them.
So puppetangel, TW spoilers can be taken with a large grain of salt as to their vailidity, though I did see pictures of Rhys, Gwen, and the team at a wedding. <--

spoilers -->SFX magazine confirmed that in the wedding episode, Gwen wakes up on her wedding day, pregnant with an alien baby (they had pictures XD). Plus, both her parents and Rhys' parents are there! And they... clash with Jack? Because, you know, of the vampires.
Owen... well, he's in future episode synopses. And he supposedly has a huge multi-episode story arc coming up - I'm presuming it started with his 'death' in Reset.
Owen, King of the Weevils. Has a nice ring to it. <--/spoilers
Adam and Reset were so fantastic. Loved them muchly.

407, Owen looks like one even.

As someone on TWoP said about -->Weevil! Owen:
I Am The Very Model of A Modern Major Weevil!
Personally, I've always thought of Owen as more of a Lizard King (on account of his lizard lips).
As for the Gwen Rhys wedding, I wonder if it'll actually happen. Both Eve Myles and Kai Owen have said that just because there's a wedding, it doesn't mean that anyone ends up getting married. That scares me. I want Gwen married and unavailable to Jack.<---SPOILERS
I thought that Adam suffered from some dodgy acting by Barrowman. Burn Gorman and Naoko Mori were lovely. Tosh is such a hottie. I loved Reset.

Moderator Note:
As of the moment I hit "Submit," this thread is UK paced. Meaning, once it airs on BBC, we are liberated from the white text.
Of course, spoilers are still spoilers. So if it hasn't aired on Aunty Beeb, it still goes in white.

A very observant soul on LJ posted some screencaps of the previews for episode 7. Take a look at them here.
It looks like --->the resurrection glove<--- will make an appearance.

I finally got a chance to "process" the two episodes from Wednesday.
Overall, I liked both of them. I'm glad that we got to see more of the Gray storyline, and am curious how that is going to pan out. I saw pictures from the location shoot for those sequences, and saw pictures of the boy playing Gray. I guess I half expected Adam to be Gray, but I don't know why my brain went in that direction. I was however surprised by the fact that Gwen's memories of Rhys were completely erased by Adam. What purpose did that serve the story? I know he wanted them all to think that he had been there for ages, but how/why would he have eliminated Gwen's memories of Rhys? Other than RTD/Chibnall-enforced Jack/Gwen.

Word. But I think Barrowman was more due to direction/focus/script than anything else. When he gets good direction, he can do amazing stuff (example - his Broadway CD: the tracks he's performed on stage were far superior than those he learned on his own).
I also loved the switch of dynamics for Tosh and Owen. What a relief it was for Tosh to finally have a sex life that wasn't, for the moment, tragic. And to have Owen get a bit of that unrequited love. I felt so bad for Tosh when Jack gave her the retcon, because suddenly, she was "forced" back into her old life. I know that not giving her the amnesia would have kept Adam alive, but when it was helping Tosh so much, why keep her miserable?
As for Reset, I loved the DW references and having Martha back. And she kicked so much Owen ass the entire episode, it was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was that they used "Feel Good, Inc" (only belongs on House now!!!) and the segues between scenes almost made me ill. But I'm really surprised at the direction for it. Ashley May also directed my three favorite episodes (KKBB, End of Days, CJH). Consistency, thy name is not Torchwood.

The screen cleaner! *flails and dies*
I know.
Burn Gorman is so wonderful in that episode. I'm really liking Owen this season. The evolution of his character seems believable to me. I think that the pain of losing Diane caused him to grow. And my personal fanwank is that he feels some guilt from opening the rift and turning on Jack. So it seems natural that he's a little bit more thoughful this season. I liked that he was somewhat oblivious to Tosh in Meat (though I felt bad for her). That scene reminded us that he is the same Owen even though he has grown a bit.

The flailing and dying, it's gone.
The second i see Ianto alone in a dark room, I know what's coming.
And now I'm freaked out.
Although the Owen professing his love to Tosh bit was funny. A literally fell out of my chair laughing.
EDIT:
They killed off Owen.

I too thought Adam was Grey and was suprised that he wasn't.
As for Gwen losing her memories- doesnt Adam say to Jack that playing with memories is tricky and accidents happen. When he planted himself in her memory it accidently erased Rhys.
arizonamyrie- 02-17-2008
I was thinking more that the memories that were kept were the ones that were strongest - such as her closest love would stay. Adam didn't have to recreate the whole of her life, just insert himself in to be a believable part of Torchwood. By erasing Rhys, and Gwen calling first for Jack for help, I saw the powers setting up further Gwen/Jack.

John Barrowman was a guest on Al Murray's Happy Hour this weekend.
Someone kindly posted clips on the Tube of U.
Part 1Part 2
I highly recommend watching them. I nearly peed my pants laughing. JB looks oh so sexy wearing Al Murray's undies.
407- 02-20-2008
Oh God, I was watching that when it aired (my mother kindly came in to notify me that 'that John man you like will be on'). So funny.
Also: new episode tonight! Dead Man Walking, I believe. And we get a new one next week. I'm pretty sure that after that, though, the Beeb will stop the BBC3 preview episodes, so we may have to wait an extra week for a new ep *wibble*
We don't know anything for certain though, so... I'm trying not to get too worked up over the idea of a whole extra week of waiting.
*sigh* Is it 10pm yet?
