I was dissapointed with episode 4. The forced sexual tension between Jack and Gwen was horrible- and I wanted this pairing in season 1 and still would if they would quit with the OTT stares. It reminded me of the acting on Sunset Beach and other US daytime soaps. Jack is also meant to be well adjusted and happier after meeting up with the Doctor again so why all the angst. I have started switching allegience from Jack to Ianto this season. Yes it was very sad what the humans were doing to a living creature but the storyline was too implausable- they would be freaked out by it and not sell its meat- and with such small deliveries and one small van needed, it was hardly a multimillion pound operation? On the plus side the trailer for the next episode looked great
I think its great that there will be two episodes- the solid fanbase already have BBC3 and the others will just accept waiting a week. I am too impatient...

Most of us were.
I realized, both episode 4s were pretty bad. It Series 3 had a bad episode 4 too, episode 4 is cursed. :D

US pace it stays. Thanks MissViolet.

Most of us are from the US. We've been watching the episodes before they actually air on the BBCA. Which is a very bad thing to do. :shifty:

But it doesn't stop those of us on that thread over at the other place either. And it is NOT the real reason that DW was PHed over there (the official was a combination of the chief admin being against it in the first place, the fact it was a BBC show, and the lack of interest in the recaps).

I've been reading the thread at TWoP too. I can't post there on account of my banishment, but I do read the UK based thread. *feels guilty*

PM me if there's anything you'd like me to add there on your behalf. If it weren't for my ducking out of the House fandom for awhile, and finding refuge under the DW's mod's kindness, I'd be sharing in your bannination.
Now, Torchwood. Will poor Tosh ever have a relationship that doesn't end with her lover being sent away because of her job? And I'm not including Owen into this, though, if they ever do get it on, I'd fear for my safety if I were him.

Have you heard the most recent Spoilers about Owen? -->I think we my need to fear for his safety anyway.<--
Poor Tosh, indeed. I do like the way this episode emphasized her emotional strength. Last season focussed so much on her insecurities.
Jack looked very pretty in this episode. His forearms were on display tonight.

I actually have not. Please, do share in white. But I have heard two bits of speculation - something about weevils and something about mpreg. Neither one seems pretty to me.
And WORD on Tosh's strengths. They really need to emphasize that in her. And I love her new apartment from last season. In reality, TPTB had to make room on set for new sets, so her apartment was lost. But the new one is better in so many ways.

*Drops cookie jar*
WHAT? Much to my defense, we don't get BBCA at my house and I can't imagine convincing my parents to pay the extra money. "You want me to shell over extra bucks to the cable company so you can watch hot men with hot accents? I don't think so."
Plus I'm in Japan so the question is moot anyway. :P

I don't watch Torchwood but this comment made me laugh

As someone from the UK running a House site as US-pace, I have no idea what you mean.
Just want to say that I loved episode 4. I know most people didn't like it all that much but honestly, I really enjoyed it. I mean, tons of Rhys and kick-ass!Ianto? Who could want anything more?
puppetangel- 02-10-2008
I am waiting for an Owen-centric episode - his hissing at the end of Combat last series, after being bitten by a Weevil is intriguing. I thought it would have been addressed sooner.
Hail the Random- 02-10-2008
Owen getting infected be a Weevil? Seems unlikely.
Wait, this is Torchwood. Never mind.

Heh. SPOILERS--->The latest spoilers say that Owen dies in episode six and comes back to life as the King of Weevils. I kid you not. I'll post a link to the spoilers when I can find 'em. I don't have time to do it now because I theoretically doing homework. :shifty: <---SPOILERS
