Meet the Family!
So far we've met both of House's parents (twice), Chase's father, Wilson's second ex-wife, Taub's wife, and both of Foreman's parents (twice). Which remaining cast member do you most want to see have a visit to or from a family member?

Poeia- 11-09-2008

Talk about tough. Cuddy, Cameron or Wilson. I'm going with Wilson. But why don't ex-wives count? I want to meet #1 (with or without a wooden leg), Julie, his parents, his not-lost brother and his long lost brother. That's actually why I'm picking him -- the sheer number of relatives I want to meet.

Cuddy's family would be fascinating. I'd love to see her parents -- Were they supportive of her ambition over the years? Do they pressure her to start a family? What would they think of her treatment of House, and conversely, his treatment of her?

But why don't ex-wives count? I think they do count as family, but figured not everyone would agree with me.

I want to see more facetime for House and his team, never mind adding in even more characters and subplots. The families and backstories are of no interest to me, if 45 minutes a week doesn't allow time to make the here-and-now work.

I voted for Kutner, I think it would be nice to give some more screentime to him. I feel there's more to him than meets the eye, but perhaps I will have to be patient until later in the season.

i voted for cameron, although on second thought, wilson would be interesting too. but cameron, along with cuddy, is one of the characters whose family we know nothing about (except the story with her deceased husband), and i'm not sure, but i think that it's canon that she has siblings (?).

When Foreman tried to get protective of her when she started seeing Chase, Chase told him that she already had an older brother so Foreman didn't have to fill that role in her life.

I want to know something more about Cameron's family. I imagine she's a middle child and was kind of spoiled by parents. I would guess she came from upper middle class too. But I'd like to know if any of the things I imagine for her are actually true.

melly- 11-12-2008

I'd probably like to see Cameron's because I'm guessing the answer as to why she's attracted to damage and can be judgemental at times is related to her upbringing. Meeting Wilson's folks would be cool too, and they can bring back Mr. and Mrs. Foreman anytime in my book. I kinda like them even more than I do him.

I'd be willing to see pretty much any of the original team's family. (Except Chase, of course, since I guess there's no one left.) All of them have some backstory that could use some filling in. Wouldn't it be great if: 1.) Cuddy had a twin? 2.) The reason Wilson lost touch with his brother was because his brother became his sister? 3.) Foreman's incarcerated brother staged a prison riot/break out? 4.) Chase's young, hot step-mother developed a crush on him? 5.) Cameron's former sister-in-law married Joe instead?

NekoCat- 11-12-2008

Once upon a time, it would have been hard for me to choose between Cuddy and Wilson's family. But Wilson's family definitely wins out. Anybody at all from his family.

IHARTHUGH- 11-14-2008

I'd prefer to focus on the characters we see every week, and am not too interested in others' families, but if I had to choose, and I guess I do for this poll, then Cameron. I'd be interested in learning why she is as she is. Is her mother a very good person, for instance (perhaps religious, or a teacher - a person who taught her daughter to be caring - over caring at moments). Why the desire/need for the paternal figure / older male figure in House. Why the inability to commit (not sure I buy that it's totally due to dead husband).

Lully- 11-18-2008

I can't believe I missed this poll... Meet a character's family? I'd pay to meet any of Wilson's relatives - and I don't even rule out wife #1 and #3 - though I'd like more if it'd be his parents or the remained brother. There's no way that that family isn't completely screwed up, no one raises a son that turns out like Wilson without some kind of 'skill'.

Kutner, easily. I don't know why. Be interesting to see his foster family and all that.
