I always thought there might be a bit of a parallel to H/W and Tick/Arthur.
There are some clips here at this site, from the animated series.

There was also a short lived live action version with Patrick Warburton

Maybe it's some inside joke.
I have no problem believing that Wilson spends far too much time wrestling the computerised charting system.
Now I have this vision of Wilson as a techno-phobe. Somehow that seems in character.

That was great! Especially the Housian line "Genius at work here"

Thisis a bit off topic, but which episode is it when Wilson walks into his office and House and the ducklings are sitting there and he steps back, looks at the door, reads "James Wilson, MD" and then goes "Huh. That's a funny mistake."
'cos I've seen it on Youtube and think it's great..

Attica Attica - the carpet episode - just after House is shot Cuddy takes away his bloodstained carpet and House refuses to use his own office until the carpet is returned. But he does have the cane again - sometime in early season three.

It's Lines in the Sand - Epi. 3.04

In that epi, there was a lot of bears around his office. So cute!! I want that "Dr. Wilson"'s bear that appears in "Alone"

There's a scene between Cuddy and House that I just love because it reinforces how long House has loved Wilson. I don't have the exact quote but it's clear that Wilson's marriages didn't stop House's love or possessiveness of Wilson.

Is it this quote?
I don't care that Suzie married Johnny, he's mine.
I never understood who the hell were Suzie and Johnny... A random reference? Some pop culture thing that I don't get it?

A great big "word" to that !(are the kids still saying "word" these days? Or have I fallen behind slang-wise?) House sometimes seems to assume full-on *ownership* of the man! Wilson's primary reaction when HOUSE leaves him out of the loop on something is to be worried/concerned . . . whereas when WILSON is the one who leaves House out of loop? It's like House's whole understanding of the universe is thrown off-balance. House takes it for granted that he'll never get left out of the various details of Wilson's life--and when he finds out there's something he didn't/doesn't know about Wilson? Devious pissy-ness ensues. Big fun to watch.
Oh, and this is my first ever post, by the way. I'm new. So hi! :D

So much fun to watch, a lot of my favorite episodes are the ones where Wilson doesn't tell House something personal or Wilson starts hanging out with a woman. So much love for possessive!House.
Oh and welcome onspeeeed. That's a great name by the way.

Slightly -- OK, very -- OT. On Meerkat Manor this week, the new wandering meerkat male is named Wilson. We know that the names are given by the researchers. I can't help but wonder if there's a House fan among them. I suppose it will only be confirmed if we start seeing meerkats named House, Chase, etc.
And now back to your regular Wilson discussion . . .

Welcome Speedy!
A big, fat word to your whole post! Possessive and insecure House are my favorite kind of House!

He's pretending to be an angsty high school girl. Or, since Suzie and Johnny married, maybe a post-high school girl.

Maybe he meant Jack and Diane?
