Ever since the Miami Vice TV show, there have been electric razors that purposely leave the stubbled look. Maybe he has one of those -- although that seems like more effort than House would be willing to put into his grooming. (Even though that's what Hugh Laurie has to do.)
I think he feels it's his trademark look so he only shaves when he knows he won't be in the hospital for a few days. That way it's somewhat back by the time everyone sees him again.
When he shaved this season in the methadone ep, he threw away his electric shaver and bought new shaving cream and a razor blade shaver, one might assume, to get a close shave. Maybe House just has a crappy electric shaver. :-)
A medical error. I was doing a first aid course and I asked the instuctor about Foreman's nipple tweaking in the Methadone episode. She laughed.
We can post medical mistakes here? Cool!!
Even the House medical advisor says the medicine on House is rubbish! :D

And I say this with all the love in the world as I didn't know we had another thread. Give me a second, I'm sure I can think of a continuity error off the top of my head...
I can't believe it took me all of five minutes, especially with that last line. I am anticipating a fonking great continuity error next season. Either way I don't mind - either my blind unreasoning faith  in the writers will be vindicated or I'll have something new to wax lyrical about. Hint, it's do to with
House's head.
House's House - Living Room Overview
Not sure if this belongs here or elsewhere, but it's sort of related to continuity errors. The fourth in the series on House's House (this time an overview of his living room) has just been posted:

House's House - Secrets

Great stuff, my favourite bit when they stuck tropical pot plants outside House's app in the middle of winter.

But did you notice on his shelf sink that he had a big shaving brush? I always assumed he shaves on Friday night, cause he has this whole other weekend life, and then by Monday, the stubble is taking over. There's a fic in there somewhere.

That makes sense, but I thought he threw away his beeper, not his shaver. I could be wrong though.
rathrbereading is right. You can clearly see the belt clip on the beeper as House picks it up.It's also rather small for a razor
I guess one could argue if these are actual errors or just a matter of interpretation. Well here goes.
In 2.5 "Daddy's boy" House goes to Cuddy and offers to do clinic hours in the evening. Cuddy answers the clinic isn't open at that time.
In 4.4 "guardian angels" Amber goes to Cuddy to offer to help out in the clinic in the evening. Cuddy tells her to do whatever House wants her to do. If she wants to help, she can come back for the next evening. So obviously the clinic is open in the evenings now. Ok, you could say, the time was expanded. But wouldn't House have whined about that?
The other: In 5.12 "painless" House looks for the name of a lawyer. He asks House which one has defended him, when he was sued for burning the patient. Well the only patient Kutner burned was Greta in 2.4 "the right stuff" She didn't want any paperwork to be known. Plus, She's probably grateful to House, since he didn't rat her out after all. So imo it doesn't really make any sense for her to sue the hospital.
