It's exactly that, the execution. I'll admit I'm biased, but as I said, they never made me believe the Huddy.
Again, I saw the flirting and UST and I too thought they should have at least another one night stand. So when (I think it was around season 3) TPTB started saying it was time to get something going, I thought it was fine. But then it dragged on. And on. And on.
But it's not constantly, and that's the odd thing. The show would dedicate week after week to Huddy and then stop suddenly, and we'd barely see Cuddy, House wouldn't mention her and it's as if there's no Huddy at all. Until that too suddenly stopped and there'd be another Huddy arc, out of nowhere.
It's that all-or-nothing approach that means that I just can't see Huddy the way TPTB now want us to. Because those weeks when there was nothing, there really was nothing: I didn't miss it, House didn't seem to miss it, there was no weird undercurrent of emotion. It was business as usual. If it can be ignored, cut out, that easily, how important can it be?
I'm a bit worried that it's going to be 'all' and not nothing for a while and I guess that bugs me because the way they decided to take Huddy is just completely different from how I saw it.

I'm bitter that Amazon.fr delayed the sending of my copy of Stephen FRy biography.
And they can't tell me yet when they are gonna send it to me.

I'm bitter because I care so much less about this season than previous seasons. I'm watching, but the ooomph I felt isn't there. Unless it makes a miraculous recovery.
And that even with the perspective of a little time, I have no desire to buy the Season Six DVD set.

I'm bitter because I hate Huddy and that means it'll be awhile before I Tivo any S7 episodes. Damn, Damn, Damn. I need a Wilson doll to comfort me.

I'm bitter because I still do not have received my own copy. So I checked my Amazon account, to find that I had ordered the AudioBook, which is not yet available. I had to delete my order and order the paper edition, wich hopefully will be sent tomorrow! Yay! (Less bitter, then).

I am exceedlingly bitter because thanks to the Cablevision/Fox fiasco I won't be able to watch House tonight. I hope both greedy corporate bastards rot in hell.
KeldoraDragon- 10-18-2010
Wow I'm not the only one being screwed over with the Cablevision/Fox ordeal. This is the rare time I will ever post in this bitterness thread but I would like to know if anyone else is affected and has any idea when this problem will end.
Oh well I can always wait for the official website to put the episodes on.
Vicodin- 10-20-2010
I am bitter because the Huddy storyline has reduced Cuddy to House's sex interest / sex kitten and turned House into Cuddy's lapdog.
It seams that House's thoughts are dominated by the thought “If I do this, I don't get sex with Cuddy tonight.”
And even after watching the first 5 episodes of season 7 I don't buy the big love between House and Cuddy, which TPTB wants to sell to us.
What I see in season 7 is that House and Cuddy are having a sexual relationship and not a love relationship.
They even said to human resources that they have a sexual relationship in episode 7x02. They didn't call it a 'love affair'.
I have always and only seen sexual attraction between them. Enough for a second one-night-stand at the right time and under the right circumstances but nothing more.
I'm positive House's big female love / love of his live has been Stacy.
By the way, that's series canon since season 1.

Especially after Monday's episode, I think that's what TPTB want us to see.

Interesting thought. To get back on-topic: I'm bitter because the writing is lazy, especially where the medical mysteries are concerned.
