It's been a long week and the bitterness has festered. I've seen what happens when we let things fester: back of head blows off, testicle explodes, huge tumor develops--attracting chubby-chaser internet guys, leading to extra kids. Not going there!

What a coicidence that this post comes the day after I post a story that includes them.
Actually it was a coincidence. And write about whatever you like, it's my choice to read it after all.
I'm bitter that Cuddy's awesome wardrobe is becoming laughable.

Back to the WYD hate, um, yes. Much hate. EXCEPTING THAT ONE SCENE where Wilson has some kind of curry dish and House confesses that Crandall's girlfriend gave him a blow job and Wilson gets pissy and throws the curry at him. I mean, it was a completely random reaction given that it's canon Wilson has cheated on at least one of his wives, so what right does he have to judge House? AND it's canon that House is kind of into people NOT cheating, given what we know of the way he treated Moriarty's wife in "No Reason" and the way he in general just responds to people cheating...
Eh, whatever. There was a lot of inconsistency but I like that One Scene with the food. It's always the food that makes me squee at how cute the two of them can be. Oh, and Wilson's jealousness of Crandall was cool.
But bitter! Yes! I am bitter! Stupid racist WYD.

Oh yeah the Chicken Mole scene. About the only good thing in WYD. Now I think about it I didn't like a lot of the episodes near the end of season 2, didn't like both Euphoria's, SDL(which suffered from being in between All In and HvsG), WYD, No Reason, didn't really care about Forever either. Maybe because of the awesomeness that was the Odd Couple 'arc'.

I'm not clear on House's views on cheating. He slept with Stacy while she was married. He never really seemed angry at Wilson cheating, he didn't really get upset about Wilson and women until after he was seperated from Julie, and he told Honey that he's not always faithful to the women he dates. Having said all that, I still don't see House as the cheating kind. For some reason there's a disconnect there with me.
But WYD did suck.
vitawash99- 09-28-2007
I didn't think it was the infidelity that bothered Wilson - it was the idea that House took sexual favors from the girlfriend of a guy who was supposed to be his friend. Bros before hos, man. Wilson may have cheated, but chances are pretty good that he didn't cheat with Stacy.
WYD was mostly awful, although I did appreciate the injection scene in Cuddy's office. What can I say, I'm a fan of visual stimuli...
Although, I'm curious...why did you think the episode was racist?
Gee. I wish I had something to be bitter about, but I'm rather content at the moment.
Poeia- 09-28-2007
I didn't think Wilson was bothered by the confession in WYD until House said "I was doing him a favor." That was when he tossed the rest of his lunch on the table and left. I thought it was House's attempt to justify what he did that disgusted Wilson.

Since I only just joined this board and have no idea about what has been going on before in the bitter-department:
The corsage
(HATE, HATE, HATE that one of the writers could think that House would EVER buy something like that) Thank God they spared us the scene that he actually gave it, I would have screamed!

That is exactly how I saw that scene. And I am bitter that House would have done that. And that he got the Mole out of it.
The corsage
That part just made me nauseous. I mean, who gives corsages other than for High School dances and Mother's Day church outings? Especially House. House is NOT lame. I am bitter about that. So OOC.

Wasn't that sort of the point? House even acknowledged that it was lame. I have no doubt that if he were on a date with someone whom he actually had intentions toward, he would not have bought the corsage. He wasn't really acting as himself in that scene; he was acting how he thought Cameron
would want a date to act in order to fulfill the terms for her return. I really don't have a problem with the scene at all.

Apparently House does. Like misere, I thought that was the point.

The other side of the equation is that Cameron was clearly pleased by it (for all its high-schooly vibe, its part of her concept of a "real date" which the FWB with Chase isn't) & it highlighted the disconnect between the two - he got what it would take to please her in the mechanics (clothes, corsage, restaurant) as well as emotionally but she didn't get where he was coming from (which was even clearer when we learn about the two possible options for his first date with Stacy). I admit I didn't care for the gesture, its not really what I envision House to be about, but what it did capture dramatically was what Cameron was all about (she likes "lame", the lame isn't actually the norm for House).

I hope I'm not going to get beat up, but I'm bitter that TPTB are morphing House into Hugh Laurie. The guitar playing, the motorcycle riding, he'll probably be boxing next. I'm all for incorporating an actor's talents into his role, but it's too much when the actor's band is promoted with the show.

Thank you!! I feel the same way. It's starting to feel like Dr. House's variety hour instead of a medical mystery.

No beating you up. I'm bitter about that, too.
The whole guitar thing in the season premiere just rubbed me the wrong way. And all the promos of House the rock star. When did this happen? I thought House was the guy who never got any in high school, not the too cool for school guy.
Hugh is an awesome person on his own. But so is House. Let the two remain distinct characters, please.
Then again, I'm a little bitter that the writers can't seem to define the characteristics of the main characters without mooching off the actors. I don't think there's been a single thing established about Cuddy that LE hasn't instigated, except that she's the dean of medicine. The Chase and Cameron connection seemed a little too Jesse/Jen to me. I don't know enough about OE or RSL to know what they've contributed specifically to their parts, but I'm sure there's something...
