Little Things Annoy Us a Whole Lot: The Bitterness Thread

In House vs. God, House was the one to know about wild viruses like herpes targeting tumors. In Office Politics, 3M was the one who read about obscure studies. I'm bitter about their increasingly frequent attempts to make House's gifts less remarkable. I know he's a bit of a Gary Stu (maybe more than "a bit.") But, while one is fascinating, multiple Mary/Garys is annoying. I can overlook a lot of the stuff on the show that if I really thought about it, I'd be bitter, however this is one thing I am having a really hard time overlooking. It's like they seem to have lost track on why being one of his fellows is such a sought after opportunity.

Bea, I guess you haven't seen Amber's previous work. She was brilliant in Joan of Arcadia, and can act circles around Olivia Wilde. No I haven't, I might take a look at it sometime though. (but that doesn't excuse her imo lacking performance on House, on the contrary) AT was excellent in Joan of Arcadia, and held her own with Mary Steenburgen and Joe Mantegna. The first season was especially good - I totally recommend it. (I do understand not getting well-loved shows. I loved Veronica Mars, but hated My So-Called Life.) Bitterness, right. Uh...I only got to see Chase in his leather jacket for like 2 minutes? And what the heck, costume people, you can't wear tops like Cuddy was wearing this week on the East Coast in November. It's like 50 degrees outside.

It's like they seem to have lost track on why being one of his fellows is such a sought after opportunity. TELL ME ABOUT IT! Wouldn't every female doctor in the known universe be vying to get on his team? Why not just have the guys while Thirteen is gone? (Oh, right, losing viewers in target demo yada yada yada.) I thought this last episode was one of the worst episodes ever; 3M is such a Mary Sue it's sickening. Honestly, to me, she dresses like a Mary Sue! Whenever I've pictured a MS in my head, that's what she looks like. An overgrown teenager. I've been staying away from spoilers and promo pics because they just get me annoyed for no reason. I am as bitter as coffee that's been in the pot for three days.

I sure wish there were spoilers about something, anything, other than Huddy. I'd even take a Foreman spoiler at this point.

I keep checking the spoilers in the hopes they will be about something other that thing that has inspired so much bitterness.

It's not even kissy kissy AND a good medical story, it's just Kissy kissy and a lame medical story.

I am bitter that since "Selfish" there has been no Kissy-kissy at all this season. I am hoping that in the New Year we get less angst and more of the intensely sexy partnership/alliance/supportive/complicated side of the relationship between House and Cuddy. The scant hints we are getting about upcoming episodes gives me some reason for positive thinking on this score, but I have been disappointed before.

I'll join you in your bitterness, blacktop. It's been annoying me for quite some time because when you add that element - or lack thereof - to the already existing plot devices, it just makes their relationship unrealistic - and though I'm certainly hopeful, I'm not holding my breath for a change in January.

I am hoping that in the New Year we get less angst and more of the intensely sexy partnership/alliance/supportive/complicated side of the relationship between House and Cuddy. The scant hints we are getting about upcoming episodes gives me some reason for positive thinking on this score, but I have been disappointed before. Raises hand in agreement.

Ok, so I'm bitter that people complain about the kissy-kissy even though, apart from episodes 1 & 2, there wasn't any! Well, except for the occasional peck... wow, they're really milking the sexin Huddy, aren't they? ;)

Ok, so I'm bitter that people complain about the kissy-kissy even though, apart from episodes 1 & 2, there wasn't any! Well, except for the occasional peck... wow, they're really milking the sexin Huddy, aren't they? ;) I'm bitter that I'm not allowed to be bitter without being attacked in a myriad of subtle and not so subtle ways for expressing my bitterness. I feel like Huddy has eaten the show, and LE is not a versatile enough actress, nor is her character compelling enough, to be the co-lead. To be fair to LE, it may be the way she is being directed...one pained expression, one pained mood. Either way, I'm not being pulled in to their story.

For me, I agreed with Blacktop's assessment on why she is bitter. Our bitterness can be the complete opposite of different posters but it is a bitterness nonetheless and should be allowed to be stated. I'm not trying to be subtle because stating your bitterness, whatever it is, is what the thread is for. I dont think H/C have been kissy face at all other than episiode 1 and some of 2 and i have the same wishes as Blacktop come January. I hope that didnt come out as rude because that is not my intent. ;)
