Kumar Goes To PPTH: Kal Penn What would NPH do? He'd discuss Kal Penn. Here.
Kal Penn gets interviewed by a friend about his role in the Namesake:

You have to scroll down a bit. Penn first defends a prior blog entry where he showed a video of him interviewing KKK members about the movie:

It's not for all senses of humor.
I stumbled across
this trailer for Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay while I was scanning through ohnotheydidnt (which is seriously like crack for me).
Oh God, I so wish I hadn't clicked on that. I never saw KP on this, and I will try and make sure I never do again!
I'm practically an insomniac, so I watched
this speech about political activism in the Indo-American community by Kal Penn. He briefly mentions that he's now playing a doctor, so this is fairly recent. I'm not sure if anyone else will be interested, but I liked it.
KP gave a speech at the Los Angeles Generation Obama Concert in LA last night. There are a couple pics of him onstage at Getty Images.
Actor Kal Penn, best known his starring role in “Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle,” has been volunteering for the Obama campaign in Iowa. Tonight, the actor said he is going back to the state in the morning.

Olivia Wilde was also scheduled to attend the LA GO Concert, but I'm not sure if that was in an official capacity or not.
Thanks for posting the link to the speech!
I can't watch the H&K trailer on this computer what with the whole NSFW risk. Is it the red band trailer? I haven't seen that yet, I've only seen the "safe for television" trailer.
Btw, dryope posted a photoshoot of KP's on house_daily this morning.
Is it the red band trailer?
Yep.
Kal Penn talks to
TV Guide about campaigning for Barack Obama.
Kal was at Brandon Routh's wedding a few weeks ago. I learned this via People's end of year issue and it only jumped out at me because that's the first place I've seen him referred to as a "House" cast member. Usually they stick H&K or "Van Wilder" in the parentheses, but this time they used "House".

It is so refreshing to hear an intelligent, articulate voice speaking out against racial steriotyping or steriotyping of any kind. It really contrasts morons like, say, Rick Santorum. I have a new-found respect for KP. Wow.
I admittedly like the casting of Kal Penn, in part, because in real life Asians are flocking to the professions. Any medical show without an Indian doctor seems detached from reality.
Radar Online has a piece up about Kal Penn's stumping for Obama. Lucky for Obama that the actors plugging for him have so much free time on their hands.
Here's another video with Kal Penn talking about Obama. I don't really care about any actor's political views, but it is nice to see his passion for the subject.
How come we have a Kal Penn thread but not a Kutner one? :?
