It's Reality Show Clip Time: Reality shows This thread is for all the reality shows past and present.

And to kick this thread off, I love Intervention. I love to root for the ones who genuinely try to kick their addictions, I love to hate the ones that play the blame everyone else game and I absolutely love the trainwrecks.
The only episodes I have problems watching is the ones featuring people with eating disorders. They show them vomiting, and I just can't stand that at all.

Intervention was one of my favorite shows when I had the cable television. I love disasters.
It's one of the evil things people probably expect from me. I also think Judge Judy is one of the greatest shows on TV. I watch it whenever I get the chance and dream of a day I have a petty quarrel that I can drag into litigation. So that's yet another way that I am not cool.

Did you happen to see the Gabe episode RSH? Total train wreck
Story 1) Gabe is addicted to gambling and has lost over $200,000 in the casino. He has even withdrawn money from his parent's accounts without them knowing about it.

Anyone else here totally addicted to Project Runway? I've been watching it since the first season.
So far I haven't been impressed by any of the season four contestants.
I am, however, impressed by Rami's gorgeous biceps.

Ooooh! I missed Gabe! I wonder if that wonderful program is available somewhere on the interwebs for totally legal download? I'm unemployed-I need stuff like that to amuse me.
I miss cable, but I do not miss paying $70 a month to mostly watch Golden Girls reruns and reality show contests like that one for the best haircutter that was like Project Runway only seriously lame.

I'm not sure if there is a place to totally legally download the Gabeisode, maybe the Youtube has some episodes. I did find a bunch of follow-ups on the A&E site

Totally addicted. I've seen some episodes multiple times because of all the repeats. I have to say that my favorite moments were when Santino Rice mimicked Tim Gunn and created that elaborate story about Tim and Aaahndre becoming lovers and going to Red Lobster.
Ooh. And the animosity between Jeffrey Sebelia and Laura was epic too.
I'm ashamed to say that America's Next Top Model is a guilty, guilty, guilty pleasure of mine. I never watch it in real time, but if my weekend is free, I'll catch the marathons on VH1 and MTV. Dumb, beautiful bitches getting their cat-fight on is just awesome entertainment. Furthering the fun is the fact that virtually none of the contestants go on to have any sort of career. The show is almost gratuitously pointless (as are most reality shows), but it's hilarious that Tyra takes it sooo seriously.

That was hysterical.
I also love when Daniel V loses the ugly pocketbooks that he made, and Tim Gunn says, very diplomatically, "Sometimes things happen for a reason."

I just saw, for about the fifth time, Bourdain In Beirut, the episode of "No Reservations" that was being filmed when the Israel/Lebanon war began. Every time I see it, I'm still amazed at it, at seeing this snarky chef/writer/travel show host stunned by the situation he finds himself in.

It's sad that it had to happen, but that has to be one of the best hours of TV.
Aside from that, AB is probably the only reality program I'll admit to watching, and it's more or less because of how he treats the subject of travel in his earlier shows. Especially in Indonesia. There was a clip of him online on the Travel Channel website where he just talks about the serenity of the Indonesian countryside and there are two or three calls to prayer heard in the background along with thunder. And he's going on about these wooden wind chimes and how beautiful they sound (I have a set in my room and they are very mellow). It's just usually respectful of cultures, not a Disney tour of a faraway land.

I agree with the Bourdain in Beirut points. It's absolutely captivating and I know that I'm going to end up watching it every time I see it on.
I'm excited for the new season of No Reservations to start on Monday.

Sadly, I have no cable which does not help as I have a serious thing for Anthony Bourdain and only get to watch his show sporadically.

Rest easily, misere, you're among friends. I am not only unashamed to say I love this cat fight fiesta but that I have watched it in real time for all 9 cycles. Oy. Oh well. Combined with my other fave fluffy show (Gossip Girl), it makes for the greatest stress reducer since yoga. Just add wine and enjoy. ; -)

Someone has managed to hook me on ANOTHER TV show.
(Isn't it weird how I never just find them for myself?)
Anyways, I've discovered that I can do my homework when watching Project Runway much faster than if I'm just sitting there. Which is weird.
And so I just sat there, doing homework and trying not to twitch at Christian's prom dress. For four hours.
And then I had a totally bizarre dream where my friends and I were the models and there were 5 designers. (And Guy with the face infection was back) I got Victoria. Lindsay got Christian, Sherilyn got Sweet P, Melody had Face infection guy, and Wynter has Chris. And then when I woke up I sketched out all the dresses.

I just started watching No Reservations recently, and absolutely adore Anthony Bourdain. I find him oddly attractive. He reminds me a lot of older punk rock guys that I had crushes on in high school.
I've yet to see the Beirut episode.
