There's a House season 1-3 box out. I saw it while browsing amazon.co.uk and did a double take at the black packaging. See here.
I didn't spot it on amazon.com, so it seems to be a British thing.

Yeah, I saw that in HMV but it was about £90! If anyone in the UK doesn't have season 1 or 2 they have them in Zavvi (the renamed Virgin Megastores) for £15 each. I got my season 2 on saturday :)

So can someone explain to me why it is that even though I have S1-3 on DVD, tapes of S4, reruns of House are still appointment TV for me? I'm torn that I have to miss Mob Rules tonight even though I've seen it many times and have it on DVD as well? And why do I love to watch HL's interviews over and over? And so on... I guess the best thing I can say is it's like it is with my favorite music. No one thinks it odd if you listen to Beethoven symphony a zillion times because you can always have a new experience: same for House, the thinking woman's TV Beethoven (angst? check. disability? check. brilliant? check. cranky? check. yep, it fits). Gotta go watch House's 5th (MLC) or perhaps a sonata (Half-Wit). (And that ends that metaphor, for now anyway...)

I just realised that if the strike doesn't get resolved soon, we probably won't get any sea. 4 on TV overhere, because I don't think the network would buy half a season. No sea. 4 DVD box either!

The production company will most definitely do what they can to release the season, no matter how small, on DVD. As it is, they have a set that they could still wind up charging around 40 bucks for retail. I don't see them *not* cashing in.

I don't think we'll see something like that until the series ends. Then all of the seasons will be reissued in a complete set. That seems to be where the trend is going.

It's been done. I've seen shows that only had half a season and they aired it. I wouldn't rule it out yet, if it ever gets that far. I hope that everything can be resolved before we do end up with only half a season.
