Is It True What They Say About Jewish Foreplay: Wilson/Cuddy Oh come on, there has to be a Wuddy thread, I don't know why but there has to be
I suggest :
"Is it true what they say about Jewish foreplay": Wilson/Cuddy

I really enjoy their scenes together but in a strictly platonic, friendship way.
One thing I don't want to see is Cuddy becoming the 4th ex-Mrs. Wilson.
Lully- 08-18-2007
I used to thing that they could be friends - and both of them need to have a good friend. But during the Tritter arc I was so disappointed with Cuddy and how she dealt with Wilson's problems that now I can't buy the idea of a friendship between them, let alone a romantic relatioship.
Of course things could change, maybe the Tritter arc never really happened... But wife nÂș 4? Just no!

Hmm, I'm slowly but surely making my way to all the Wilson shippy threads and realizing that I have very low standards (or maybe just few stipulations regarding) any Wilson relationship on the show. Yes, I'm a H/W OTP shipping fangirl to the end, but I also vaguely ship Chase/Wilson and have found myself defending the Cameron/Wilson ship. So I assume it's only natural to chime in with the Wuddy lovin'.
Like Wilson/Chase and Wilson/Cameron, Wilson/Cuddy has fantastic possibilities for repressed/unrequited!Houselove dysfunction, you know? They both kind of parent him, they both kind of want him, and House pretty much flirts indiscriminately with both of them. It would be madness, utter, joyful madness. Imagine the House-jealousy.

I just cannot stand anymore pathetic Cuddy/sadistic House so I am jumping on the Cuddy/Wilson ship!
I think his kind heart might suddenly become very attractive to her, and I've always though Wilson had a little thing for Cuddy. I loved that scene from years ago where they meet in the hallway and he makes a joke about "wanna make-out" or something along those lines.
Taiga- 12-02-2008
I love the Wilson/Cuddy friendship. And the title of this thread. I don't see anything happening between them romantically; while I think he would go there, she's clearly not attracted to him. I think she digs bad boys ;)

Wilson in the hands of RSL shouldn't be underestimated, he can do anything. Unplumbed depths could be discovered by the writers and RSL would deliver, and deliver, and deliver. The only problem is that he would upstage House.

Never!

I'm not a Wuddy shipper because I think Wilson would always be second place in Cuddy's heart to House and my poor Wilson deserves better than that. As Lully said, Cuddy didn't treat Wilson well during the Tritter arc (i.e. she didn't care what happened to him as long as House was protected) and she was firmly on House's side during the Amber life and death arcs.
However, I can see Shore setting up a Wuddy relationship so that Wilson and Cuddy end up together at the end of the series while House ends up alone. Wilson treats Cuddy better than House does and so the audience's sympathies lmove there, especially if Huddy crashes and burns.

I think the series will end with House and Cuddy together.

Well it's good that someone was... I was bothered by the first ep of the season, though, when Wilson announced he was resigning. Cuddy didn't seem to want to keep him for his own good or even for the sake of the hospital, but as Foreman said just because it was best for House. LE said that in an interview too. As if his only value to her is as the House whisperer.

Ew, God I hope not. That would mean family man House and then I'd have to try and erase the entire series from my memory. I don't think House will end up romantically with anybody.

Agreed. I do like Wilson and Cuddy scenes and I've liked seeing them get more and more comfortable with each other this season, but I think when it comes down to it, she can count on him way more than he can count on her. I can't really see her going out of her way to be there for him if he's going through something personal the way he's been willing to be there for her. In short, I don't think she cares that much about him personally, just that he's good for helping with House and helping her when she needs support.

Let me add my ITA to you both on this.

Agreeing again. I think/hope House ends up with Wilson. Probably in a way where it can be left up to the individual how that can be interpreted.

I think the series will end with House and Cuddy together.
Maybe but at this point it seems inorganic to me. For every time they show House and Cuddy moving closer together, they show as many reasons why their relationship should be doomed to fail.
Well it's good that someone was...
Maybe in WH but I found the suddenness of her being in House's life much less in his apartment in HH clumsy and jarring (look! she loves him!), although that may have been due to the episode being written by Hoselton, Lerner & Friend. (David Foster was also there but I couldn't see his finger prints on it.)
But in Don't Ever Change, I thought it was very wrong to Cuddy to go to Wilson and try to talk him out of Amber just because House wanted her to. She knew nothing of Wilson's relationship with Amber (in Games, she was still thinking that Thirteen was "the one who cares" indicating to me that she didn't know Amber at all) and it would have been better for her to tell House to put on his big boy pants and deal with Wilson having a relationship himself instead of doing what he wanted no matter the cost to Wilson.
It seems like Wilson is always the one giving to Cuddy, taking her to the play and the art exhibit in Housetraining because she was stressed and needed to relax, pushing her towards House in season5, trying to make her feel better about her parenting skills in Big Baby, and pointing out what she's doing to House in The Greater Good. When Wilson needed help during the Tritter arc, she wasn't there for him at all.
LE said that in an interview too. As if his only value to her is as the House whisperer.
I don't know if that's canon or only LE's interpretation but she also said back in season 2 that Cuddy had considered Wilson as a sperm donor and rejected him. I couldn't understand that because Wilson's sperm has to be in better shape than House's and probably without the addiction gene, and Wilson wouldn't try to screw up the kid just for fun and to mess with the kid's mother.
If Huddy is going to fail, I can see Rachel and Wilson being Cuddy's consolation prizes.
waywarddone- 03-01-2009
If Wilson winds up with Cuddy and Rachel, :P he's the one who's going to need a consolation prize. (Me too  )
Why should taking care of them be Wilson's fate regardless of what does or doesn't work out for Cuddy?
For that matter I thought Rachel was suppose to be Cuddy's consolation prize for everything. Time for her to start making her and her daughter's life work for her on her own.
She has been proven to not even be all that much interested in Wilson, except her advise regarding Amber in the beginning and at the end where I thought she was doing right both times.
Mostly though she just uses him to help her accomplish her own agenda whether it's to do with House or more recently herself, giving a reccomendation for her first adoption, helping to get her thru the baby blues, then she never looks back.
Taiga- 03-01-2009
in Don't Ever Change, I thought it was very wrong to Cuddy to go to Wilson and try to talk him out of Amber just because House wanted her to.
My interpretation was that she was doing it for Wilson's sake, that she really was trying to help him. Not that she did it because House asked. (shrug) That's how I saw it.
I don't know if that's canon or only LE's interpretation
It was LE's interpretation, which I think means a lot but I agree isn't the same thing as canon, BUT that's also how I interpreted canon. That Foreman called the situation correctly when he said Cuddy didn't want him to leave because she didn't want to lose her check on House.
she also said back in season 2 that Cuddy had considered Wilson as a sperm donor and rejected him. I couldn't understand that because Wilson's sperm has to be in better shape than House's and probably without the addiction gene, and Wilson wouldn't try to screw up the kid just for fun and to mess with the kid's mother.
She did consider Wilson as a sperm donor, that's canon, but there was never any suggestion that she wanted House as a sperm donor! We were never told why she didn't ask Wilson; I thought she just couldn't bring herself to ask, or realized that having a friend as the biological father of her child would be too complicated.
FWIW Cuddy clearly considers Wilson a friend, and I do believe she would be there for him if he needed her provided House wasn't part of it as in the Tritter arc. We just haven't seen it yet.
