It's my penance for totally making fun of Jason Mraz for absolutely zero reason while watching a busker awhile back. Poor Mraz. Just got caught in the crossfire, I guess.GASP! eta: For all the effort being put into this you'd think it was the greatest song ever. It isn't. It's just good fun.

I've never seen the linked video and I don't have sound on this computer, so I don't even get to find out what I'm putting all this leg (finger?) work into until I get home. I was about to give up except...it just dawned on me that I could always just do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lObdra-xzIU However, since I took the file directly from the official recording and didn't do any fancy, schmancy converting, it'll probably still be blocked. If so, oh well. If not, watch and enjoy, because even though it looks like you have permission to upload the vid to your personal youtube, I'll probably remove it later.
My opinion of her music might be slightly tainted by the initial image planted in my head. Or possibly it's just that I hate little girl voices.I am accepting of so many reasons that one might find her off putting.
Love Elliott Smith, tho. Wish I could've seen him perform.I only got to see him twice. That first time at the 40 Watt, even though it's kind of a blur, I remember that he was really light and seemed like he was in a great mood and I remember thinking, "isn't this guy supposed to be all sullen and shit?". The second time I saw him at The Point and he seemed sad and did a lot of mumbling and even though he sang perfectly and clearly and beautifully, it totally seemed like he was on another planet. We were in the front and he would occasionally make eye contact and it was a little unnerving. He was fantastic, though. Both of those concerts were many years before his death. I don't know why I never saw him again.
