I have a screencap of the Directory on the wall... and the ER isn't on there. Sorry :(
Does anyone have a map of PPTH or know where the ER is in relation to the lobby/clinic area? I know the building changes all the time, but I just need something general.
As far as I have seen the ER has the same yellow brick walls as the area called Diagnostic Imaging. So I always assumed that the ER is on the same level - the basement. Sounds odd, but if they have a big ramp leading down there, why not? I don't think I've ever seen windows down there either.
(I checked a couple of screencaps for you. In "Daddy's Boy" there's a sign for Radiology/Diagn.Imaging/Records in the ER (leading down the corridor).
The main directory at the elevators on the lobby level says MRI/CT/Diagnostic Imaging is in the basement.... did that make sense?)
And if TPTB decide to suddenly put the ER on the roof we are going to have to accept it just like all the other layout changes.
I'm guessing this has been discussed somewhere, but I haven't seen it in the past year I've been visiting the boards, so I was wondering what exactly caused House's blood clot? It was never explained, right? I know these things could feasibly happen randomly - but then wouldn't he be on bloodthinners or something, which would have been really bad when he was shot? This has kind of been bothering me lately. Thanks to anyone who has any ideas!
Hey, the floor layout didn't include Oncology until S2.
Kerry, it's never been said what caused the blood clot. Maybe House doesn't know. It's also never been implied or said that he takes bloodthinners, especially since as you said he'd have bled to death when he was shot if he was.
I suspect that there weren't any obvious causes for the clot, seeing that it took even House 4 days to figure out what was going on.
Kerry, it was described in Three Stories as 'an aneurysm that clotted' – in other words, not a simple thrombosis of a blood vessel. An aneurysm is a dilation of a blood vessel – here a branch of the femoral artery. Such aneurysms of the limbs are often asymptomatic (and found by accident) but occasionally they clot. The symptoms are pain, paleness, coolness to touch or loss of sensation. There a several causes for the formation of a peripheral aneurysm – infection, trauma, atherosclerosis or inherent malformation – but ultimately it's a random occurrence. I think it was a clever move by the writers to pick a seemingly arbitrary and unpredictable event to define House by. It must irk him to no end to be the victim of simple bad luck.

That is really the way I always saw it. I like the way you phrased it.
"Irk him to no end."
Tha pain, the immobility, and the latent puzzle, all in one.
And that is the irony of House, his entire life altered because the correct diagnosis came too late.
Do we have any way to fanwank/guess at the diagnosis the buraku janitor/doctor made for House's friend who fell during rock climbing?
I believe the injury became infected?
In "The Right Stuff" the newbies placed Osama in a cool, all-glass hyperbaric chamber as part of the treatment. Then she had a heart attack and Kal set fire to her!
My question: is this a new location or have we ever seen this super modernistic room before?
I'm pretty sure the giant windowed hyperbaric chamber from space is new. So nice of KP to christen it.
Hyperbaric chamber from space of DOOOOOOM? Or just FIIIIIIRE? Only time will tell.
Got to be FIRE! (can't encroach on the MRI's perogatives!)

In this episode so many things went way over my head, I'm still dizzy with it.
Would any of you explain at least these two (please bear in mind I'm from Europe)
"no more prime numbers for you" (I know what a prime number is, but what does he mean?)
Magic underwear??? :?
Thank you, I'm sure there will be more to follow!
