The ER has to be on the ground floor so ambulances can get right to the door. The ER looks like it's in the older, non-glass part of the hospital. If the ground around the hospital isn't level, the ER could be a floor lower than the clinic and still have road access as long as it's on the side at the bottom of the hill and the clinic is on the top. Right. Except that the aerial view we get of the hospital every once in a while shows that the building is on level ground. (Yea yea, I know it's actually Frist Campus Center at Princeton University, but it's the building they are using to indicate PPTH. So the exterior layout should match the interior.)

Thanks y'all!

I was told this was the correct thread to post this. The picture story "Chase Writes His Own House Episode" over in the fanfic thread has a picture with the caption "House's face melts off" (or something like that, I'm not looking again). Where did that picture come from? Is it from an episode or something? And, which one, if it is? http://kmspider.livejournal.com/926.html That's the link to the story if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Where did that picture come from? Is it from an episode or something? And, which one, if it is? It's from second season's "Who's Your Daddy?" The patient of the week is having a hallucination while House is standing over her, testing her pain responses.

Thanks.

Just to confirm, there is nothing in canon that tells us the name of LLB, correct? It is going to come up in my fic, and I didn't want to be incorrect.

I think you guys sort of guessed that Stacy stayed with House until 6 months after his infarction. I wonder how the status quo of his leg was back then - if he was already as mobile as he is now. Since when Stacy came back in "Three Legs" she must have been curious as to which degree the condition of his leg has improved. But you cannot really see her looking at it - or perhaps just because she knows he would notice and mind?

Poeia- 03-11-2008

Since when Stacy came back in "Three Legs"... HEEEEEEEE We don't know how long Stacy stayed. We do know that she left while House was still recovering. From "Need to Know" House: She's not gonna leave Mark in the middle of his rehab; too much guilt. Wilson: She left you. We also know that Stacy had dinner with Wilson (Sports Medicine). Wilson canceled a speech that had been scheduled for a year and turned down the opportunity to go to the monster truck rally with House for that dinner. Anything beyond that is conjecture, not canon, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had called Wilson a few times during the 5 years she was away and therefore knew how House's leg was doing.

Also in 'Need To Communicate' she says "Your leg can't take a night on a cot' and he doesn't argue it, suggesting that she is familiar with his condition. My guess is that by the time she left House's leg was as good as it was going to get.

Also in 'Need To Communicate' she says "Your leg can't take a night on a cot' and he doesn't argue it, suggesting that she is familiar with his condition. My guess is that by the time she left House's leg was as good as it was going to get. She also referred to him as having a hard time walking and carrying, hence the reason for checking his bag. So she was also familiar with that. (We've seen him walk and carry, of course, but that's for short distances. I'm assuming that the longer the walk, the harder it is.)

Until this year, the show took place in approximately real time. Three Stories, when Stacy returned to get House to treat Mark was May 17, 2005. FTC was January 10, 2006 and NTK was February 7, 2006. So, by the time we got to "Need to Communicate" (which was a specially edited version of Stacy's last 2 episodes ;-D "Failure to Communicate" and "Need to Know") Stacy had been back for about 8 months. She'd had plenty of time to observe him.

Ok, now I'm confused (such a novelty!) but there were something that showed how many time had passed since TS? What I mean is did they tell us when TS took place in first place? And I always had the impression that only one week had passed between FTC and NTK, not a month. I actually never had thought about how long Stacy stayed at PPTH, but if I had to guess I'd say not more than five months, since Acceptance seems to happen almost immediately after The Honeymoon (maybe two weeks after that). So, I'm curious, how did you get this timeline?

Poeia- 03-13-2008

From it's (now locked) own thread... Does anyone feel confident to surmise who is in the snapshot House is holding at the end of ? episode? Sorry don't remember which episode it is. I'll take a shot at it but, without so much as a clue as to the episode, it's purely a guess. The only episode I can think of in which House holds a photo at the end is Love Hurts. This is the 20th of 22 episides in Season 1. Because of the episode title, the fact that Stacy was introduced the following week and that "Some Devil" is the musical accompanyment to his looking at the picture, most people have surmised that he is looking at a picture of Stacy and him. But, because the picture is not actually shown, it is only a guess, not canon.

So, I'm curious, how did you get this timeline? I don't think we know for certain the time length between Three Stories and The Honeymoon (if that's what you're referring to), but House refers to Mark as having blown off multiple appointments, so it may have been more than a week. In terms of how long she stayed, you could argue that it was spring when she came (judging by House's purchase of the motorcycle, and foliage) and it was definitely winter during "Failure to Communicate." so that gives us an idea of the seasons that have passed. Also, IIRC, "Deception" has Christmas decorations in the background, and that was just one episode prior to "Failure," so that gives us some idea as to timing as well.
