YAY!!!!!!! I have internet again!!!! It has been nearly a week. Talk about Detox!!! What a crappy week to lose it, too. I am now running over to the Ep thread, followed swiftly by a dip into the Poconos, H/W love fest, and the HoYay, to get caught up. I have alot of reading to do............ Oh, and "I love you..." ETA: Alright, it has been four days. It just seems like a week!

You know, I always seem to forget why baseball makes me so stressed out. And then I remember-- my teams never win! My surrogate team for the postseason is making me CRY.

You must not be rooting for the Indians. Because WOOO!!! /I'm going to enjoy this until the very last moment, dammit!

I actually am, but for a moment it looked pretty grim! And me, too! I can't believe we're in the 11th; I desperately have to go grocery shopping but I don't want to leave the game! ETA again: SQUEEE!!!eleventy!!!!!

cindylouwho- 10-14-2007

Do NOT talk to me about the Indians. <grumble Trot Nixon, grumble> (I do love Trot, just not in the month of Soxtober. ;) ) Oh and anyways is SF really coming to Salem, MA? Is anyone going?

Completely off topic, even in this thread: Is there a drug that makes math sound like fun? I'm almost serious. I need to finish the math course to be able to even apply for this certain university programme next year, but I can't make myself open the book :( ... and it's been over a month since the course started! I'm a professional procrastinator, but this is extreme even for me. I hate math so much I can't even begin to explain this utter hatred. I know what it's like with a huge load of homework and tests, I can deal with lots of boring stuff, I mean, I finished High school after all.. but math.. it's like there's this barrier, and I can't pass the damn thing. It's not that it's hard, I just can't focus long enough to actually learn anything, because I get frustrated, feel hopeless and annoyed only seeing numbers >_< *sigh* I wish this was some language course instead.. :?

I just remembered why I hate NFL Sunday. Those games always run late and mess up taping Cold Case almost every Sunday.

Hello everyone! I'm back from my vacation, where we had a great time. Victoria BC is a beautiful city and we had nice weather. Now to slog through all the posts and fan fic that's been piling up...

Yay! Hi Tagia!

Yay! Taiga is back!

Don't know if this will help, Lulu, but I've always found math more interesting when I think of it not as mere numbers but as a representation of the thought/logic process. You can apply algebraic concepts the same way you would to those of abstract ideas, for instance, the idea of how the result of an equation is affected by a change to the variable. This is the same whether you're talking about any concept, not just math. Grasping these ideas mathematically makes abstract thought itself easier and more precise, and ultimately, that's why it's important even for those who are more interested in the humanities and language than they are in pure mathematics. It's a way of representing thought using symbols rather than words, and you can think of it as another foreign language with its own code to be broken -- if that helps! I know this is rambling and vague, and for that I apologize. I haven't fully metabolized my morning coffee quite yet.

I'm not failing geometry anymore! I'm not failing geometry anymore! *happy dance*
