I did like her post-Donald though. She was more reasonable then, but still quite the bitch. It was only enough of a like for me not to get irritated with her.
Loretta Swit also ruined her face with too much plastic surgery around the time her character got divorced.
Yeah, she did have her moments. For one, I liked her kind of flirtatious relationship with Charles, and wish that had been explored more by the writers.
Remember when she and Hawkeye finally slept together and she got all clingy immediately? She was practically picking out china patterns.

On the hair topic-I got all my hairs cut yesterday.
It's been awhile since I had short hair (chin length, nothing too daring)-I think I dig it. I stopped getting haircuts as part of an adulthood rebellion in which I grew my hair long and didn't get any tattoos.
GG-your hair looks very good. Think of all the money you're going to save by dying it yourself!

I totally dig it, gg.
And yeah, Switt would've been a lot better off with out all the plastic surgery, just like everybody in this world. I'm a firm believer that the only people who need it are the ones who get in horrible accidents. People who do it just to look pretty when they're already fine look awful when it's all done.
And I hated that episode when she slept with Hawk, it totally destroyed the dynamic of the show.

Yes, but it was almost inevitable at that point. The whole show had disappeared up his butt. I liked Hawkeye early on when moral outrage wasn't his default setting but I hated the way the rest of the characters were written as caricatures. Later characters, like BJ, Potter and Winchester, seemed less one-dimensional.

I couldn't describe my feelings for him better.
And I agree with you about the dimensions. That's probably why I liked Winchester more. He was an ass at times, just like Burns, but he had his loving side as well, and that's what rocked.
What I didn't like, having grown up Presbyterian (I'm no longer one, but still), was how both Winchester and Burns were Presbies. That was just offensive to give the antagonists of the show a default religion. It's one hell of a way to make something come off stereotypical.
Just out of curiosity, who saw MASH in it's original run? I'm only 19 so I only remember the reruns of it. I think it was off the air before I was even born.

Oooh GG, the new hair looks great - I love the color. I'm going in to get my roots touched up tomorrow. Can't be running around town with an inch of dark roots. A friend who works in film is taking me to some sort of cocktail party on Saturday night - he tells me there is someone there that I have always wanted to meet and he's just going to surprise me. I have no clue who that could be, but I love a good mystery. I bought a very cute vintage looking cocktail dress tonight. I wish I had more of a clue about the where and what if not the who!

Thanks guys, I'm even happier with it in the cold light of day lol.
Think of all the money you're going to save by dying it yourself!
Yeah RSH, I used that line on mr GG when he was bitching about 'how expensive is that dye anyway'. He's totally on board now lol.
I would kill to have it short again, but not a single hair place I go to wants to do it for me. Bitches.
radiosweetheart- 09-19-2007
What the hell kinda town do you live in that a hair salon won't cut your hair?
If you really want it short, chop off a few inches using a dull pair of scissors and then go into the salon and explain that your last stylist really screwed up your style.

I know!! She said that it was way too pretty and simply refused to cut it off!! Mr GG doesn't want me to do it either, but at least he acknowledges that it's my hair and I can do with it whatever I please to do with it(like dye it dark blue with bright red highlights, I think my mom had a coronary when she saw that  ) I don't have the guts to actually go and chop of a bit myself.
In other news, I probably get myself signed up for cake decorating classes, which should result in making me a certified cake decorator.

Continuing on from the wlecome thread - what about that Simon guy and that rather cute guy who played The Saint in Return of the Saint - Ian Ogilvy?
Roger Moore always seemed a tad too smarmy to me.
...
And random Boston Legal thought: James Spader is short, plump, and has one facial expression - he is the reincarnation of William Shatner!!!!
This theory would work perfectly if Bill was actually dead, but he isn't - so hey.

So, Silja, Jose Mourinho for Spurs?
Silja- 09-20-2007
GOD NO!
No Special One for us, pleasepleasepleaseplease.
He might be a great manager but there isn't room at The Lane for his ego. It'd cover half of the pitch.
Do the Chelseanicks really need condolances right now? No, I don't think so - but we should feel sorry for them: They're still stuck with Abramovich
galaxygirl- 09-20-2007
So, Silja, Jose Mourinho for Spurs?
I don't think anyone should want that overrated piece of %$#^%^$. He needs an entire city for his ego alone. Chel$ki is better off without him.
Silja- 09-20-2007
With all due respect GG, but I'd be happy to see the back of Jol as well - I can't remember the last time I was proud of being a Yi...ehm...Spurs supporter.

I'm not a Spurs fan, but I'm familiar with Jol as a coach. He is a good coach, but I have to wonder if he's not in over his head. I'm not sure if he's fit to work in the Premier league with the experience he has with the teams he coached in Holland. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he has.
Then again I'm shocked that Ferguson is still at Manchester United. Any other team, he would have been gone for a long time, he probably never even had made it to their first title back in '93.
