This wasn't a song, it was a spoken work piece about a guy who wants to learn Karate and the teacher wants him to mediate but the guy just wants to learn how to kill people.
Maybe it wasn't Doctor D, but still, I would love to find it.

No, it could have been a sketch. It was just a radio sketch. (Much like Stephen Fry's Saturday Night Fry). Dr. Demento used to have a show that lasted a couple of hours. He had comedy as well as music. This was well back in the '70s, of course, but some of those shows were recorded and saved.
