I just went to a Weird Al concert at Coors Amplitheater last Friday. I was in the fifth row and he came off stage during one of the love songs and stood litterally 2 feet away from me. Friggen awesome.

Weird Al rocks!! He also has the best video's.
JenButterfly- 09-03-2007
Totally! I love his white and nerdy one the most. I can point out about a gagillion things in that song/video that relate to my family.

I love Weird Al.
My friend wants to know if he sang 'Your Horoscope for Today'? or 'eBay'.)
TrooperCam- 09-03-2007
I bought it on Ebay
I love that one and The Saga Begins

We sat WAY up on the lawn,
You can always count on the cheap seats. I wish I could have seen Harry in concert...I almost put live, but that is rather redundant. I was five when he was killed so the chance of seeing him anyways was rather slim to begin with.
.
I'm few months younger than you. I just have a Mummy who thought it was a good idea to take infants to concerts. Crazy hippie. Love her.
Good suggestions for PS and Dylan. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's def. some of the best music of the last 100 years. My suggestion would be Blood on the Tracks. Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts is one of my favorite songs.
Dylan can't sing. But he can tell a story.
Might I also recommend Joni Mitchell and Elvis Costello. I could go on and on. Wilco should be mentioned. Todd Snider-I can't talk him up enough.
Shutting up now.

Not horoscope, but he sang -part- of the eBay song (when he takes a bunch of his songs and takes pieces out of it and does it as a mushed together song. I hope that made sense.)
He also did that news song (Ooooonce, there was this girl who...) but the girl was Paris hilton. I think it went.
Oooonce, there was this girl who
Went to prison and...something something something.
I can't remember the exact words, but the idea was that Paris Hilton was a baby when she was put in prison but nobody really cared.
ETA: Troop The Saga begins and Yoda were both done with storm troopers and vader on stage. Probably the best part of the night (with the exception of seeing Weird Al super close up)
Hail the Random- 09-03-2007
Aww...we can do the entire horoscope song!
And wasn't she only in prison for like 40 days or something?
JenButterfly- 09-03-2007
Nope, she was in for 21 I think. Her sentence got cut in half.
galaxygirl- 09-03-2007
They should have kept her and thrown away the key
TrooperCam- 09-03-2007
I guess I don't really care for his singing style
He has a singing style, I always though he just put marbles in his mouth and mumbled :)
My buddy got to be one of the Stormtroopers on stage at the Weird Al concert in North Carolina. I would totally do that. I don't even have Trooper armor, but I would borrow to be able to do it :)
Random question, but does anyone know where I can get a copy of Tae Kwon Leap, it's not on ITunes
fffaw- 09-03-2007
Ah, you've inspired me to put on Planet Waves, RSH. I have a very soft spot in my heart for that Dylan album. :-)
JenButterfly- 09-03-2007
The marbles in the mouth is for the song "Smells like Nirvana"
Is Tae Kwon Leap a Weird Al song? My sister is the bigger fan than me
TrooperCam- 09-03-2007
Tae Kwon Leap is a Doctor Demonto sketch. Weird Al got his start by submitting sketches to the show.
JenButterfly- 09-03-2007
Song. Dr. D is a radio dude so they would have to be songs.
My sis has nearly all his CD's, let me look really quick for you ;)
