Two! Which is more than One! blue, that is awesome!! Congratulations! I have trouble making a respectable stick-figure, so I am doubly impressed. I'll have to check it out.

Axilotl- 09-01-2007

That's "two" cool, blue! I imagine you're feeling all  at the moment and quite rightly!

blue, that's awesome! I'd loved to see some of your work. I have a BA in painting, but haven't been doing much lately. I love the work of Dave McKean (and lot of others whose names I can't think of right now)! Thanks! I'm jealous - I wish I could go back in time and study painting. I'd love to see your art, if you have it up somewhere. Dave McKean is especially cool - much of his work is insanely creepy. I loved his illustrations for one of the Dark Tower books, can't remember which one it was. The only online gallery I have is here. I stuff everything on there, so it's a horrible mix of good and bad. RNwannabe, thanks! It really is a nice book, assuming my art doesn't drag the quality down too much - it's designed for art directors and others who might be looking for artists, so it's big and glossy. Axilotl, thank you! I was pretty low-key about it, but after seeing the listing on Amazon I got all excited again.

Hey, blue! I was wondering where your icon came from. You!!! Too cool......

Ah O'Hare, how I hate that airport. Galaxy Girl if it makes you feel better you are not the only one who had a great adventure with the airlines this weeknd. Though I do have to say clearing customs was easier as they shuttled all the military through their own line...way to keep security there but whatever. http://romeo46.livejournal.com/18638.html#cutid1 Oh and I really hate United. I have about 40k miles with them, but I don't think I will ever use them for a flight. I hate that airline that much. Yikes, also a great day o'fun with the airlines. I don't really hate United, I didn't have any bad experiences with them in the past. I didn't even hate O'Hare the previous times I used it as my POE. I really don't see the security part of picking up bags, go through customs, where no one even looks at bags, and drop them off at next plane. I just don't see the point at all. I'm still pissed about that part lol. Next time we'll probably use Minneapolis or Detroit as POE though.

They seem to do that bag thing a lot now. Even going through Texas and Atlanta they do that. It does seem a bit unsafe to me, but then again, how are you gonna get a bomb between the ramps from one plane to another.

Congrats, blue! That's very cool. I still haven't recovered from my last vacation. Airports are such nightmares. Esp since I'm not allowed to bring my 'Coke' (and Jack---lotsa Jack) with me through check-in. Travel is easy when your comfortably numb. I should recover fully in time for whenever I finally get a holiday to New York. At this rate, that'll be sometime next Spring. Today, I let science use my brain for studies. (Not like I need it for anything) Selling your body to science is lucrative. And easy peasy in my case. Highly recommended. Then I saw Superbad (or as I think of it Harold and Kumar are in High School) it's very funny. Not as good as 40 Year Old Virgin, though. After that I ducked into the Simpsons Movie and that is a worthy movie-ization if I've ever seen one. Well worth it.

Starting the new job today. I'm so tired

Hope you have a great day at your new job, Jouse!

I don't know if anyone here has the hots for Heath Ledger, but he's back on the market...

radiosweetheart- 09-02-2007

You gossip hound, GG! That's gloomy news. They made a cute couple. And didn't they just have a baby?

galaxygirl- 09-02-2007

yeah they have an almost 2 year old daughter Mathilda. From what I've been reading their marriage was over for quite a while.

fffaw- 09-02-2007

From what I've been reading their marriage was over for quite a while. Oh that's a total bummer. :( They live in the neighborhood next to mine in Brooklyn and they were a totally cute couple. That said, there were reports of him slinking around with other women as far back as her pregnancy. Also, I don't think they ever tied the knot officially although she referred to him as "my husband" in a letter she sent about development in Brooklyn (they were active in a campaign to keep a big developer out, for which we were eternally grateful).

So, one of my friends in Jersey has invited me to visit in November to go to a couple of Bon Jovi shows. They're doing 10 nights at a new arena in Newark. Tickets went on sale ages ago, so I checked Ticketmaster and found nothing I'd buy for the sake of traveling that far for a concert. So I checked a scalper--er, broker--site. The best tickets were going for $8025. EACH. Not per pair. And you had to buy a pair at that price. $16050 for two tickets. Who the hell has that kind of money to spend on concert tickets? At those prices, I don't think even Jon Bon Jovi himself could afford to go to his own concert! PS: Make that $8334 EACH on inspecting a different broker site.

Hope you have a great day at your new job, Jouse! Thanks! It's my first office job and so far everyone are really nice and helpful. Any of you office old hands care to give a n00b a few tips?
