Okay, help please - I know how to save gif/pngs of those cute new smilies, but how do I paste them into my post? :yes, I fail: - I needs me a smiley of that too.

Hail the Random- 08-20-2007

Copy the saved link of the smily and just paste in into your post.

I have some trouble coming up with a snarky one, mainly since none of the smilies are actually labeled snarky, not helping lol. So if this isn't right please tell me another definition of it so I can try to find one under that name :)

Troopercam: now it is going to become all trendy and yuppified. Everything is becoming trendy and yuppified. Or unpleasant and third-worldified. Take your pick. In The World of Tomorrow those are your only options. I'll bet Walt Disney never saw this coming!

hwshipper- 08-21-2007

I'm 31 today, so that makes hwshipper two years older than me. Happy Birthday to HWShipper and AmySusanne- August Babies rule! nice. you're 31, i'm 32 and she's 33. i kind of like being the middle child. You know I don't think I've ever met anyone with the same birthday as me before - yet here we are three of us born in sucessive years hanging out on the same forum at the same time. Isn't the interweb strange! Thanks again for all the birthday wishes, people! Alas back at work and normality today :(

sweet fern- 08-21-2007

Best birthday wishes to all the August babes. My own firstborn will turn 24 on Friday....I'm a bit conflicted about that because he is going to finish college and graduate this year and he will really be grown up which is great but it's sad too....waaah! I lurve my baby and don't want him to grow up and move away.... ...except sometimes.... :? Poeia, I hope you don't mind but I was curious about your screen name so I googled it. I figured it was most likely short for onomatapoeia but I found this rather interesting http://www.erowid.org/library/books/pharmakopoeia.shtml which adds a certain je ne sais quoi to your posts for me....

Jeebus Rice- Fox has gone and infiltrated Nashville. I like Nashville, I like going there...now it is going to become all trendy and yuppified. F-ing Fox Troops, that show is going to make me laugh and grind my teeth so hard! If they ever drag the cameras to my side of the river I'll eat my (not cowboy) hat. The Nashville I know-it can't break you because dammit, there's nothing left to break. Nashville's made me so jaded, and if I had any fantasies of success before I got here I sure as hell don't now. Dreams are so overrated. Every time I hear about someone moving down here with $37 and a Cheap (edited for television) guitar it takes everything I have not to laugh in his/her face. There's no making it big. The best you can hope for in this town, if you're not some cookie cutter blonde haired blue eyed beauty with big tits and a popstar voice and a willingness to call your parents Mama and Daddy so you sound 'down home' is a gig on Lower Broad playing for tips to drunk, bored tourists on a Wednesday afternoon.

If they ever drag the cameras to my side of the river I'll eat my (not cowboy) hat. Heh. Whee, 3 days til birthday!

You know what RSH- I thought you were from Nashville, but I was reluctant to ask. Coming into Tennessee Nashville was the first look at the state and I can imagine if you are a coiuntry western wannabe the image of the Bat Cave and Adelphia(hee) and the city skyline has to fill you with some longing. I think a lot of wannbes also forget that three hours down the river(as it were) is the whole otehr side of the dream( that woukd be Memphis for those of you playing the home game) where the stark realities of life hit home pretty damn hard. That said, I like Nashville. I spend more of my time in Gallatin and Franklin and areas around the deep heart, but there is definately something enticing about the city.
