Nursie! Quite a feat. *applause*
Radiosweetheart: What does the "Rock Chalk" part of the Rock Chalk Jayhawk chant mean? I am so not familiar with basketball.
For those with sound on their computers, I did find (via Wikipedia, Source of All Knowledge*)
this mp3 of KU fans doing the chant. It starts out vaguely creepy, then turns awesome at the end.
I'm spoiled for soccer because I've watched matches between Italy and Greece while in a packed outdoor Greek taverna in a Greek neighborhood in Queens . . . and Greece
beat Italy. The ensuing block party was
epic. We handed out free baby pandas to all the children from astride our sparkly rainbow-haired unicorns, then bathed in honey.
My favorite thing I heard about baseball was on NPR: Zack Hample, the author of
Watching Baseball Smarter was asked why baseball was the only sport that didn't have regulations for the field size (like soccer), so that all the fields were different? "Because it's beautiful." Dude has achieved Oneness with his FanBoy-hood.
Happy Birthday in advance
HTR. I had a pinata at my 12th birthday, I'm pretty sure for my 13th it was a sleepover. My birthday is in September—I asked for House S3 DVDs.
